The best beach in Jamaica, at Negril, is located near Ricks Café and offers a beautiful span with plenty of hotels on the beach. Nearby, there are several restaurants and good food options. About 700 feet from shore at the tip of the peninsula separating 7-mile Beach from Bloody Bay, you can find Booby Cay, a small uninhabited island named after the sea birds that once frequented the place. The island is surrounded by fragments of a coral reef, offering a wide variety of marine life to explore.
Ricks Café is a popular hangout on the top of a cliff in Negril West End, where you can admire the beautiful sunset. About half a mile (1km) offshore from Negril’s famous 7-mile Beach, you can snorkel a series of coral reefs that are generally considered the best place to do so. Xtabi Resort, a small resort with private huts perched on the edges of Negril West End, is about ten minutes from Seven Mile Beach.
The water is mostly tranquil and clear, and shallow in some areas. You can rent equipment from a local dive shop in Negril and try out some of the other watersport activities. Seven Mile Beach is great for both beginners and experienced snorkelers, offering a variety of beach activities such as swimming, snorkeling, cliff jumping, and more.
