The Delos Project, a 53-foot Amel Super Maramu, is a sailing vessel built in La Rochelle, France in 2000. It has been a dream for many sailboat enthusiasts, with Capt. Breeyawn, Kazza, and The Little Nugget now on board. The vessel has been in the making for over six years, starting with exploration in 2016 and eventually anchored along the Skeleton Coast, Namibia. The current position of the vessel is at the South Pacific Ocean, reported 80 days ago by AIS. The vessel is a pleasure craft and has sailed across the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and the Atlantic Ocean. The length of the vessel is 16 meters and its width is 5 meters. The Delos Project has sailed across the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic Oceans, with a length overall of 16 meters and a width of 5 meters. The ship’s current location is tracked on a live ship tracker, providing information on its itinerary, recent track, speed, course, next port destination, arrival time, and more. Before embarking on the journey, the crew plans to soak up every last drop of the paradise before setting sail.

Thank you for shining a spotlight on the true nature of sharks, helping to fight the misconceptions people often have about them. Aside from that, thank you also for sharing so much of your life with all of us. As a grandmother of a seven year old, I am quite enjoying perusal Sierra grow up and explore the world without fear. It is precious to watch, and my otherwise rather frozen heart melted, when she gave her Baby Shark performance. Having a chance to travel the world with you, even if it is just through a computer screen, is something I appreciate more than you can imagine. When life is rough and I feel like my tank is empty and I am running on fumes, spending some time with you all fills my tank up a little again, so that I can keep going. Stay wonderful. 🦈🦈🦈🥰
Some of the most stunning places you’ve taken us. I would struggle to leave as well. That said I am really looking forward to the boat build…I am one of those gearhead guys who has built a lot of hot rods, hot boats etc over my lifetime and I have been on the fence what I love more, the build process or playing with the thing when I am done. This boat is going to be something else. Been with you for many years, and I well remember when you and your brother first started sharing your thoughts and dreaming about the “new’ Delos, and now you are going to start the process of bringing that dream into reality.
What a ride it has been. You’ve taken us around the world we met hundreds of people and all the sharks, dolphins and little the fishies. We cry we laugh and we learn the better part of living worth every moment shared. But the one thing we don’t have is time, let’s make each day learning sharing and giving a little to better ourselves.. this is not a rehearsal use it B4 its gone..
Another article full of a tropical paradise providing splendid eye candy. Pretty cool being in the water with dozens of sharks and even getting Sierra in on that act first hand. Thanks for all your work in bringing this to us, almost real time. Can’t wait to begin seeing your “New-Boat” articles. You guys work hard, play hard, and certainly deserve everything good that your new boat will be bringing. Thank you. Be well, sail safe.
With so many websites building or refitting it’s been a rather dry few years of sailing. These articles of your family just enjoying so much beauty has been the best! I hope they hold me over until D2 is built! Or I’ll just have to watch these amazing atoll articles over and over 😊 Thank you for all the calm! This planet is just mind-blowing. ❤
Such a stunningly beautiful place with awesome diving I don’t know how you could tear yourselves away to go and live on land and build a boat ! I have really enjoyed perusal your travels over the years and seeing the places you get to, I understand why you want to build your own boat but I’m not sure I can deal with perusal you spend 6 years or more doing it ! By the time you set sail in Delos 2 I’ll be well into my 70’s and my life will be vastly different from what I have now, I doubt if I’ll have the means to follow you then. I will take a few high quality stills for backgrounds from this article though ! 👍
Just love the dives in the South Pass, it occurred to me while you were discussing the annual grooper spawning that if I’m lucky I’ll get to see it again this season with Bill & Grace, as I’m sure you’ve let them know it’s a MUST SEE event. I’m not usually a boat build watcher, just so much fiberglassing that just seems like the same thing over and over, but I’m intrigued by the aluminum build, this will be something completely different than I’m used to. I’m also excited to see how Sierra adjusts to the long period on land, I’m guessing she’ll make lots of new friends and will have lots to do while mom and dad are working on the family’s new home.
Another amazingly beautiful article, thank you so much for sharing yet another fantastic adventure with us, I’ll be forever grateful yet saddened about this wonderful era coming to an end, I’ve watched your articles for many years. That being said, I’m excited about the new Australian adventures you’ll soon be embarking on and continuing to see Sierra growing into such an amazing and kind young lady, boy will she have some childhood stories to share later in life! Take care of yourselves and each other, you’re such an inspiration to many of us. ❤️
I started perusal your articles mainly because your articles literally take me away from my hospital bed and the reality of loosing my leg to uncontrolled diabetes complications. My fault plain n simple. At least im willing to admit to my mistakes now. I get to escape the hospital for a few minutes and see places i would never normally get to see thanks to your wonderful articles! More please!
Most families occasionally record images or notable events. Over decades a typical family might record X number or images or Y minutes of article. You however have a VAST library of thousands of minutes of incredible recorded memories! Most people have only their memories to reflect upon the highs and lows of their lives. You have documented a much greater amount of your life. Even beyond your sharing the wonderful experience of the last decades, it is your life and growth. I want to thank you for taking the effort to share so many incredible experiences with strangers.
new boat design challenge : building a new alu cat offers opportunities to change common designs . 3 of the changes worthwhile to contemplate : 1) bathroom(-s) on deck, not in the hulls ( can be made see through with blinds for unimpeded surround view,if not in use ) . at least one of these with a direct hole ( secure welded ‘throne’ ) with lockable lid and one with a holding tank, for marina use and such .hull compartments will be more spacious and it reduces dangerous holes and maintenance 2) a cat of this size allows shallow river access and even use of river marinas and docks, maybe in distant future even use of your own river/lake dock . one might seriously investigate the option of a welded extra strong tabernacle, high and strong enough to have the boom attached to it,( boom rest on other end ),thereby easy lowering and realigning of mast . Above allows far more access points to rivers and lakes, thereby more emergency hide outs and easier emergency mast sets ups . 3). break ins are likely to increase, hence all entry points extra secured to avoid tempting casual break ins .
I have been a long time subscriber who has not visited SV Delos in a long time. OMG how the Nug grew up. Last time I was here she was just getting her sea legs. I have been missing you guys. Cant wait to binge watch for the catching up on things. What a lovely episode to land on to reacquaint and catch up. Thank you, you wonderful people Edit: this episode was visually one of the most stunning I have seen you produce. As I go back into your journeys of the last two years I hope to see Brady and Blue 🙂
OH! THAT is what you said, Forami-NI-fera ! Accent on “NI”. Also called forams. Yes. Carbonaceous shells. Like snails, clams and coral have. Forams are single celled plankton along with these groups: diatoms, dinoflagellates and coccolithophores. Brian, You should be familiar with a dinoflagellate of PNW, Gonyaulux, which is responsible for red tides. Brian, you, Warren on Va and Ben on Nahoa, have wonderful narration voices. Thank you for your wonderful vids!
Watching yours and Calico, Parlay, etc. vids on a Quest 2 with Virtual Desktop is really more immersive than one would think. Brian the aerial shots look amazing! perusal Parlay’s last article and Colin comments on the article not selling the size of the swells. It really does on a virtual cinema size screen. Cheers!
Normally I make it a rule not to watch article’s based around a catamaran for many reasons; I have sailed in my early years and even raced and feel the boat you are building is just not sailing, gliding maybe IMO, but now I have been perusal your article’s for several years and really love the family dynamic you have going on here and how could I miss seeing Sierra grow up. So I do look forward to the build and I hope I can continue after that.
Bravo. Now with your big changes and boat build, you are going to have the challenge of you tube episodes without “sailing”. I have been a subscriber for a long time (pre- Kazza). My request is that you do an episode on the challenges of entry and exits of countries, customs, immigration, visas, cruising permits, etc. You travel with ? maybe one US citizen and 2 Swedish members of the family. Do you get treated any differently with that profile. Officialdom and bureaucracy has given many sailors issues and changed plans to accommodate the rules. What countries or regions are the best and the worst for these issues? Have you been asked for bribes? extra fees? And absolute BS? Any place you just would not go to again?
It is awesome what you guys are doing but your little girl is missing out on her childhood growing up with loads of friends her age. I know a family that lived on board a sailing boat around Panama and Jamaica and their boy never had a normal childhood with kids his age. When he was 11 he spoke like a 20-year-old boy because he spent all his life just with grownups. But she will have all these amazing places and experiences to remember for sure, you can’t have it all, and I understand that :). Safe travels and good luck with the new project!
Little Miss Ciara needs an agent. As a non sailor, how difficult is it to sail with young children, from safety to the whole small living space and keeping them entertained through the days of passage. As I am rehabbing a back injury and intrigued by learning how to sail once completed. Love to do some of these kinds of adventures even if just in the local waters off the coast of BC. Love going to the islands by ferry, but would like to experience it with more freedom and see things you can’t driving around. Looking forward to next week, have a safe time sailing and living life.😊
Yes, change is coming – for all of us. I’m sure you will miss the beauty and adventure of the Marquesas, the Tuamotus, and the sea. We will be missing the episodes of beauty and adventure. What will become of SV Delos? Certainly, she’s not going to sit on the hard and slowly disintegrate on the stands. Where does her story go next?
In the past 3 months, there have been multiple shark attacks off the coasts of Florida & Texas. I get the feeling that the sharks are tired of humans invading their world. A few sharks against throngs of people So, it’s ironic that you’re there, in the sharks realm, with no attacks or problems! A few people amidst throngs of sharks!!!🦈🦈🦈
I knew when your commercials were on land with a plant backdrop. I think it is a mistake but I can do with my website what I want. With little welding experience this is not the project that I would start with. Why not buy a bigger boat that already exists. Best of luck I wish you nothing but the best.
Sailing SV Delos has some great content that I have grown to really enjoy & appreciate while putting together my own production of highlighting the lives of this exciting and growing community. You started with my only concern….Sierra’s exposure to the craziness in todays world.. she is so precious and precocious. Protect her, people are not always who they seem to be.! And society is very different since you guys began voyaging. PLEASE…protect her heart and soul! I really mean well, not trying to doomsay, maybe it is my professional background speaking, but please…..do not allow her joyfulness to stolen by the predators ashore!
Ahoy Delos! Sad to see your home for SO MANY adventures, heading into retirement. Remember Delos #1, as you may need your trusty floating home, again! Cathy and I (Dorian) just ‘splashed’ our boat (SV Arcanum) after one year and one week on sticks! We’ve done a major overhaul on our 2001 Caliber 40 LRC, and she is now in for more upgrades on the water. We’re here in Coos Bay, Oregon, and headed south-by-southwest this Autumn if all goes well. I am glad you chose to head back down South. I hold that there is a world war coming. It is already here, but the invasion of mainland America is the turning point. All you see in the news now, is scripted. I hope I am wrong, but as a Seer (never been wrong yet) I foresee events that are about to change everything. If you are in Australia, soon, and a violation of NATO Article V begins the troop movement out of the USA to E Europe, then the rest of the dominoes begin falling. You will know that things are on track for this WW III. You guys will need to leave AUSTRALIA PRONTO! The Aussies will also see a strike at Pine Gap (near Alice Springs). This will likely be sometime after the Full Eclipse on Oct 02, 2024. So, as troops head to Ukraine/E Europe, the clock is ticking. Get back to Delos #1, WITH AS MANY provisions as you can pack into her, and go remote! I hope my timing is off, but I seriously doubt it. If I am wrong perhaps we’ll see you OUT THERE. Peace to all three of you. (Dorian & Cathy)
Please don’t turn this into a raising baby website.. she’s cute, but the reason I and many others I feel sure, watch this the other sailing websites is not to watch little children, but to see adventures while sailing .. and you are certainly not the only website starting to fall into this situation, there several others doing the same thing, we love you guys, but remember, looking at a parents pictures of their adorable children gets old very quickly.. please keep this in mind..❤👍
I don’t understand all the negativity if he’s free and can do well in training why would it hurt to give him a go? And of course his not going to be the same player he was 5-10 years ago so name one player that is? If Ange thinks he can do a job either starting or back up then get him back if not move on nothing to lose… COYS !!!
C’mon guys, you’ve been buddy-boating with WE Sail for months at this point, why is it you’re not giving them a shout-out and help fellow YouTubers by sending some additional viewers their way? It’s really sad to see how on the one hand you’re calling them friends, yet on the other you can’t be bothered to say their name. Because while you were sailing together, Warren and Erica couldn’t contain their excitement and mentioned you guys a million times.
,,love you guys but this website is simply not what it used to be. The domesticated family life on an old boat is simply not so cool (sorry to be blunt) anymore. We all love kids but it doesn’t work well on an adventure boat – kinda starts looking like poor homeless folks living in an RV park or something Brian, please PLEASE consider a switch to a homestead build on land and get that girl into school with friends? I hate to say it, but time has moved on and that is fine. Just make sure that you move on too. Clinging to this is getting a bit sad and I can see it in Karen’s face. She needs and deserves a proper home and family. Buy 50 to 100 acres of land in the PNW and get to it.
