Where is the Disney Dream sailing in 2024?

Disney Dream commences in early 2024 with sailings to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.

DCL-Disney Cruise Line (disneycruise.disney.go.com) is a passenger shipping company, subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Incorporated in 1996 as Magical Cruise Company Ltd, the company is headquartered in London City (England UK), with operational headquarters in Celebration (Florida USA).

Currently, DCL owns and operates six ships (Treasure, Wish, Fantasy, Dream, Wonder, Magic), plus the private island Castaway Cay Bahamas (exclusive port for Disney-owned vessels).

Actually, Disney Cruise Line (DCL) was created in 1995 when The Walt Disney Company commissioned the liners Magic and Wonder from Fincantieri Italy. With the newbuilds DCL ended the ship charter arrangement with Premier Cruise Line (1983-founded/2000-defunct). In the 1980s, Disney contracted Premier Cruises to provide passenger shipping services, with voyages leaving roundtrip from Florida (Port Canaveral/Orlando City). Back then, Disney’s travel packages were marketed as “family cruise vacations” and featured costumed Disney Characters. The fleet project (building two new liners by Meyer Werft Papenburg Germany) was announced in 2007. Disney Dream was introduced in 2011, Disney Fantasy – in 2012, Disney Wish – in 2022.

How much does a 7 day Disney cruise cost?

Just like any other cruise line, the Disney Cruise Line has a variety of cruises with different destinations, trip length and more which heavily will influence how much you’ll pay for a cruise. The Disney Cruise cost per person varies greatly depending on several factors such as the destination, the type of cabin you choose, and the time of year you plan to travel. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from $700 to $3,000 per person for a standard 7-night Disney Cruise. However, this price can go up or down depending on the factors mentioned above.

Our team has been on two Disney Cruises, one in 2018, and one in 2022 on the Disney Wish. Both Disney cruises costed around $1500 per person, $3000 total with the same sailing, just on a different ship. So, we like to take that in mind as we write this that so far for us, the cost of Disney Cruises have been around $1500 per person.

  • Thanks, because we’re going on our first Dream cruise and are on the 11th deck, which I wasn’t too sure about it. But we’re going Concierge, so I’m excited about that! Hoping we can snag a cabana. I may sneak away from the grandchildren to go to adult pool! The oldest will be old enough for the “tweens club,” can’t remember what it’s called.

  • I’ve been on the Wonder in 2016 and the Dream. (I think in 2018) I personally liked the Dream better. I was really young when I went, so when my parents were in the adult area, they would send me to the kids club. At first, I didn’t like it but I went there most of the days. And I started to like it. Also the dinners were amazing. I don’t remember if this was the Wonder or Dream, but the dinner waiters would do magic tricks. But since I’m a little older now, my parents said the next time-(if we do)-go on a cruise, it will most likely be a regular one. (Something like Carnival or Royal Caribbean).

  • I don’t know Disney has just gotten so expensive. We live near Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana. We went to Disney (regular WDW) over Spring Break it was EXPENSIVE> I think for the summer instead we’ll get season passes for Holiday World. They have an awesome water park and this Thunderbird rollercoaster. It’s a lot cheaper.

  • Had to be during Covid, the ship was a zoo when we went, long lines for everything it was the single worst experience Ive ever had, my kids were disappointed day after day. Disney adults are creepy and most of them were bowling over children to be in the front row or first to see a character. Disney is the worst

  • When I was 19 years old in 2006, I remember when I saw one of the Disney cruises on TV and I told myself that one day I would get on one of those ships. . . I studied hard to graduate, get a good job and save enough; I went with my wife and little daughter in 2019 and it was truly an amazing experience. Dreams come true. 👍✨❤️

  • Just went on it with my wife and 10 year old. We had an absolute blast! Especially loved the day we stayed on board instead of getting off at Nassau. 1/3 the population all day and really got to enjoy the amenities. A really nice touch are the little “mysteries” the children can solve that take you to every deck on the ship. We had fun following her around with our cocktails. The food was good, and the service really was better than I expected.

  • Our Disney cruises were a unforgettable experience! 4 cruises with them. Sadly now that they jacked the prices to about 2000 USD a person we have had to move to another cruise line. We’re Canadian so the exchange makes the price per person roughly 4 grand. We can have that as our grand total for 4 people on carnival. I really do hope these prices do not stay as high as they are as I would love to go back to Disney! But unlike some people I don’t have money crawling out of my ass. So the 3000$ per person rate is so far out of my family’s price range we haven’t looked back. We occasionally check for price differences but with the new ships yet to be released I doubt it will be anytime soon. Disney has a amazing product 5 stars hands down. But the prices are insane.

  • Your article was somewhat surprising to me since we saw one bar after another on a Cruise Ship that is designed for kids. Yes I know there are parents on these cruises too, but from the look of it, most of them are going to be too drunk to enjoy much of their time with the kiddos. Where is all the fun stuff for the kids on the Disney Dream? !
