The Lower Tahquamenon Falls at the mouth of the Tahquamenon River offers rowboat and canoe rentals from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Woods, located on M-123 between Newberry and Paradise, offers rentals for kayaking or canoeing the Tahquamenon River. Rowboats are available for rent at the Central Park Boathouse, and radio- and wind-powered model boats can be rented across Conservatory Water’s glassy surface at the adjacent Kerbs Boathouse. Boat rentals can also be taken on a gondola ride on Central Park Lake. Kayak rentals can be booked with Getmyboat and explore rivers, lakes, or the open ocean. The Lake Merritt Boating Center is open for boat rentals Wednesday – Sunday from 11am-6pm. Jack London Square has a kayak rental shop, while the Manasquan Reservoir Visitor Center offers rowboat rentals for park patrons ages 18 and older. Non-motorized boats available for rent include rowboats, pedal boats, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, flat bottom kayaks-singles and doubles. Echo Park Swan Boats – Wheel Fun Rentals, iRow Fitness Studio, and Riva Row Boat House offer year-round rentals of sail, row, pedal, and paddle boats at their South Lake Union campus.
