The Wellness Center in Big Canoe, GA was evacuated and closed for the remainder of the day due to damage to some utilities. The center was cleared to return to operation on June 25. The fire started on a gas grill attached to the aluminum railing of a pontoon boat on Lake Petit, startingle many boats that were getting ready. On Sunday, June 10, the Big Canoe Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 29 Treetopper Lane in the Treetopper neighborhood. An enormous wildfire has grown by 8 sq miles an hour (20 sq km) as it spreads across parts of northern California. The Park fire, which started on Wednesday in a suspected arson, flares up as crews scramble to contain the 360,000-acre blaze. Cal Fire firefighter Nick Martinez put out hot spots from the Park fire near Forest Ranch, Calif. The lightning-sparked Durkee Fire is the largest of 31 large wildfires currently burning across Oregon, which has been the hardest hit by fires. The Alexander Mountain fire is burning in the Roosevelt National Forest, northwest of Denver, estimated to be at 5,080 acres. The Park Fire devastating Northern California topped more than 368,000 acres, becoming the sixth-largest wildfire in state history over the weekend.
