Norwegian Cruise Line, a global cruise travel innovator, has announced its return to service with new itineraries sailing Europe and The Caribbean. The Port of Philadelphia will commence cruise operations in 2026, welcoming Norwegian Cruise Line. Norwegian Jewel will dock in Miami, while most Norwegian vessels have scrapped sailings through July 31, 2021. Norwegian Cruise Line will have multiple ships restarting service in the Caribbean and Europe in coming months, and is expected to follow its peers into Alaska for a partial resume sailing August 7.
In March 2020, Norwegian made the call to suspend voyages across their fleet worldwide. The plan was for the ships to resume sailing in April 2020, but Norwegian Cruise Lines restart plans continue with Norwegian Epic. The cruise ship will sail from its new homeport of Barcelona in September with ports of call in places like Rome and Naples. Norwegian Cruise Line made history with one of its newest ships, Norwegian Prima, making its first-ever seasonal debut sailing from Galveston, Texas.
Norwegian Cruise Line will begin sailing from the port of Philadelphia beginning on October 17, 2026. Norwegian Viva will offer a 14-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary, while Norwegian Jewel will sail 10 and 11-day voyages to Canada and New England. Norwegian Prima will offer 10-to-12-day Caribbean sailings starting November 2024 through March 2025. Starting in April 2026, Norwegian Cruise Line will stop by Philadelphia’s Delaware River port to pick up passengers for voyages to Bermuda.
Typically sailing in the winter months, Norwegian Cruise Line typically sails in December through February out of New York.
