What Yacht Was Used In Wolf Of Wall Street?

The yacht in the movie “The Wolf of Wall Street” is Lady M, which played the role of a well-known yacht from the 1990s, Nadine. Nadine belonged to Jordan Belfort’s ex-wife, Nadine Macaluso, who was a Wall Street stockbroker with a penchant for luxury yachts. The yacht was originally built for Coco Chanel in 1961 and was named after her.

The yacht sinking scene in the movie was heavily inspired by a real-life event, but the movie took some creative liberties. The 45m charter yacht LADY M was the setting for scenes shot with Leonardo DiCaprio for his new Martin Scorcese-directed film. The yacht was named after his second wife Nadine, who was previously built for Coco Chanel in 1961.

The yacht in the movie bears no resemblance to the period ship owned by Jordan Belfort. Scorcese hired a yacht called Lady M for these scenes, which was originally built by Intermarine Savannah in 2002. In contrast, the real Nadine was on a luxury yacht called the Nadine that was caught in strong waves.

The yacht Lady M, built by the Dutch yard Witsen Vis of Alkmaar, boasted elegant design features and luxurious amenities. The real Nadine was on a luxury yacht named Nadine that was caught in strong waves.
