What Ship Was The Poop Cruise?

In November 2010, a fire in the Carnival Splendor engine room left the cruise ship, Carnival Triumph, stranded passengers off the coast of Mexico. The ship was launched in 1997 as Destiny, the first cruise ship to weigh over 100,000 tons. One year later, Carnival Carnival Sunrise (formerly Carnival Triumph), a Destiny-class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line, was launched.

In 2013, a federal judge ruled Carnival Cruise Lines liable and responsible for the engine fire that left the ill-fated Triumph cruise adrift in the Gulf of Mexico in February 2013. The cruise lost power at sea and stranded 4,000 passengers without working toilets. The Carnival Triumph pulled into the Port of Mobile at about half past nine local time, bringing an end to the days-long, feces-filled journey.

The ship’s engine room caught fire midway through a four-day Mexican cruise, losing power, and then drifting. The media dub this event The Poop Cruise. The Carnival Triumph was originally expected to be towed to the Mexican port of Progreso but was carried north by currents while awaiting the arrival of large tugboats. After being carried north by currents, the ship was expected to dock in Mobile, Alabama.

Carnival Cruise Lines, previously known as Fun Ships, earned a reputation as the Poop Cruise from the fire in November 2010. The Carnival Triumph was towed into Mobile, Alabama after almost a week stuck at sea due to the fire.

  • The service crews are the real heroes here. If you’ve never worked in the service industry you’ve no idea the emotional weight the crew had to carry trying to keep everything together the best they could. We don’t like having to give anyone bad news. We want you to have a good time. We’re the little guys on the totem poll, but make all the difference in your experience. I hope the crew were properly rewarded for their efforts too.

  • Some of the crew members deserve metals. Fire is one of the most dangerous things to happen at sea. They got everything under control and saved the ship and everyone on board. Then all of the crew members worked overtime to make a horrible situation for the passengers slightly less horrible. The people who worked on the ship didn’t get nearly enough credit.

  • In a situation such as where there’s an obvious fire onboard, even if the staff is insisting that everything is “under control”, putting on your life jacket and heading straight to your muster station is still a smart thing to do. If it truly is something that’s being handled, no harm, no foul…but if it isn’t, you’ll be the first one to evacuate to safety. You really can’t be too careful.

  • Disasters will always happen. Planes will crash, fires will break out, tornadoes will rip through towns. For me, the big takeaway of this story is that no one died or was injured. No one starved. The crew worked their tails off trying to keep passengers safe and fed, which they accomplished. Was this event terrible? Sure. But overall, it only rose to extreme inconvenience and not extreme danger. That’s commendable.

  • Comparing this to the Concordia disaster, this captain and crew did a very good job of overall maintaining order and keeping morale up while dealing with less-than-ideal conditions. Also, credit to the coast guard, tug boats, and those on board who made the most of it. Compared to how it COULD have gone, it was a miracle no one died and it is a testament to the training of the captain and crew. For comparisons lookup the Oceanos and what a disaster that was!

  • I used to work on cruise ships. It was a great time as an early 20ish year old. I really commend the crew for keeping the guests happy and fed. I’m sure there were many flashlights involved, and crew members bringing food up 10 flights of stairs. I’m sure this ruined some vacations, but my heart is with the crew that had to go above and beyond to keep the ship sane. Honestly if I was the captain or crew, I would stress how much better it is on the ship as opposed to life rafts. Also props to the alpha team for controlling the fire! All crew do a weekly drill, but it doesnt mean much untill you have to deal with it.

  • I went on my first (and last) Carnival cruise in 2011. It was the same cruise route as the Triumph, out of Galveston to Mexico and back. Let’s just say, that Carnival is the budget cruise line for a reason. The crew and staff were excellent. The food was not good. I’d compare it to cafeteria food. The entertainment was C grade at best, but the main detraction were the other passengers. It was like spending a week trapped with two-thousand Walmart shoppers. Never again.

  • I can’t imagine being on a cruise that’s basically a floating toilet and no food or power. I’d probably stay outside with all my dresses and things in my suitcases to prevent them from getting filthy from the backed up sewage and fluids and smells while I have a small suitcase and my mattress and pillows outside on the Lido deck so that I can stay as far away from the smells as possible.

  • My dad and stepmom were on this cruise. Not only were they given a full refund but a completely all expenses paid VIP cruise for 2 (whatever the most expensive deal is, not sure on the package name) and to this day they refuse to go. My dad spent 5 years in Vietnam so it really didn’t bother him but my stepmom, even though she’s pretty tough and resilient, having grown up poor, my dad said it really freaked her out. I’ve been thinking of me and my wife going if they’re not going to use the cruise. Lol, narrator just said they got the free cruise lol I was perusal while I typed.

  • This whole scenario was actually crazy. I was actually on this ship first hand and got to expericence it. Although I do not remember vivildy any of the events that occured on the ship I do remeber parts and fragments of it. What is actually crazy about the detail of this article is how insanly accurate he is telling these details. For example a day or two the initaial fire they had run out of alot of food stock because of the constant hoarding of many of the passagers they were forced to serve us cucumber sandwhiches just as he stated in the article. Me and my family were on deck 2 or 3 when it had happened and had to experince tent city first hand. One thing the article did forget to mention was not only did the cruise get supply from the other ships but also from helicoppters air landing supplys in. Also the reason they took us 2-3x the distance back to the us and not to mexico was the passport issue, many of the cruisers didnt bring passports with them and would make getting back to the land of the United States very difficult.   • My heart bled for EVERYONE stuck on the ‘Floating Fyre Festival’ Carnival Cruise Ship (The irony of the name of the cruise line was definitely not lost on me seeing how this devolved into a 10 ring circus in the worst way possible)! This news story made sure I WILL NEVER go on any cruise, of any kind, EVER!!! From the Titanic to this, Cruising is not, and never will be, for me!!!

  • Great article!! My first cruise, we were stuck outside of Tampa port because of a hurricane. On the way out, we hit a tropical depression. The wind was so strong, you couldn’t walk to the front of the ship outside. A bunch of us couples were trying, just for fun. We were 17 hours late coming back to port and it was he// because they made us stand in the hallways with our luggage so they could clean the rooms for the next cruise which was already late. No food, no water and no bathrooms! An elderly man was in a wheelchair bleeding from his abdomen and medical couldn’t get to him because of all the crowds, waiting, they managed to get him through to medical but idk what happened to him. We started to disembark at 1am and then everything stopped. Later we found out someone was caught with drugs by customs. We finally got off the ship at 3am. We missed our flight home. But Southwest was great and rescheduled us for the following day. We got a hotel room at the Marriott and from standing all day, it was the most comfortable bed I had ever been in!! Even the Marriott people knew our situation and we got a beautiful king room for $95! We bought the insurance but the only thing we were out was the hotel fee, so we didn’t bother submitting it to the insurance. Great cruise, beginning and end were a nightmare!

  • I went on this cruise months after it happened and honestly it was one of the best Carnival cruises I have been on (even though I was a preteen). Made alot of connections, had a lot of fun people perusal, going to the library, arcade, playing bingo, messing around on the piano, and at the pools/hot tubs as late as I could be. It was fun, and thank you to thw hard working crew on board

  • I sailed on Triumph one year prior in March 2012. As it happened Cruise Director Jen sat down in the empty seat next to me one evening in one of the wine bars. We had a nice chat. She’s a tiny little thing, very English and really a sweet person. Takes her role very seriously but with a light spirit. I enjoyed getting acquainted and hearing her (up to that point most calamitous) stories. Who knew, huh? I can hear in her voice during those poop cruise announcements she personally feels terrible about the situation and wants to apologize to every passenger individually. She’s good people!

  • The same thing happened to us on the Carnival Splendor. It caught fire the very next morning after we left the dock. We were without electricity, toilets and showers for days. It was absolutely awful. We floated out to sea because the engines all failed. We wereout there for I think 4-5 days. The stabilization for the ship wasn’t working either so the water in the pools was flying 20’ in the air, swishing back and forth with each wave that hit the ship. The coast guard and the USS Ronald Reagan helicoptered food to us. The Mexican government protected us with submarines. It was so unreal. I will never forget the smell. Rotten milk, poop and urine. It was so bad!!! It was my first time flying and my first cruise. I was literally having panic attacks the whole time. The ship lied to us and told us there was no fire, just smoke. But once we got towed back to Long Beach by a tug boat named “The Chihuahua” I saw the newspaper and realized it was a fire. A really bad fire. Carnival gave us all our money back, a free cruise and flights to and from Sacramento for free for the next cruise. It was practically the same thing that happened to these people. I felt terrible for the elderly people who had cabins with no windows. 🙁 We kept our door open so the couple across the hall from us could have light during the day. What a nightmare. The crew did an outstanding job!!!

  • I remember when they had this incident all over the news. This was pre-cruising for me, but it didn’t scare me off. Stuff happens, and it can happen anywhere, to anyone, and at any time. What irritates me is when people get stupid,about cruising, naming off all the accidents and so on and totally forget that things can happen on planes, in cars, on trains, and anywhere. Anyway, Ive since started cruising and its only been on Carnival ships. Some of the ships are old and in need of a redo, but other then that its all good.

  • I have always been interested in cruise ship disasters, including old ocean liners and such. Something I found chilling was how the staff was addressing the passengers. Almost word for word like how they had been talking to the passengers on the concordia. I’m sure many people on that ship thought they would be in a situation like the Concordia. Edit: also the way that the entertainment staff helped keep people entertained is similar to how the entertainment staff on the Achille Lauro and the Oceanos used the same entertainment to try and calm passengers and keep people from panicking.

  • I used to work for cruise ships. If people understood, completely, how shady the industry is, they’d be less blissful to book a vacay with them… Fights, crime, deaths, everything gets covered. They function under Maritime laws. It’s like being under the floating governance of a 3rd world dictatorship. Cruise at your own risk..🤷🏻‍♂️

  • My god! I feel even worse for the poor employees on board than the passengers. I’m actually impresesed by how everyone seems to have had high spirits, even making singing groups? That is pretty cool. Now.. whatever Carnival higher up allowed this to happen? I hope he got roasted over an open fire.. metaphorically. What a nightmare! Great article man, this was very well made.

  • so they got full refund, credit for a free cruise in future and $500 per person. and they managed to supply and improved the food and drinks served and flew out generators to the ship in middle of the ocean to get things working again. They, especially the crew, did the best they could out of a terrible situation and went above and beyond to make the best for their passengers. Got to consider the crew sleeps in worst environment and they have to work much harder.

  • I thought this was going to be about the cruise I went on, it was nowhere near as big a thing as this. But my mom and I went on carnival Sunshine out of Charleston in January 2020 right before the COVID shutdowns. I definitely noticed long lines at the bathroom on my way to dinner and while I was there I got the bubble guts and had to excuse myself. The bathrooms were pretty much full every time I pass them. When I went to that comedy show even the comedian was making a joke about how he had diarrhea but was thankful that the shower was close to the toilet.

  • Thank you crew and other staff that kept professional positive and continued to provide above and beyond service to those stuck on the ship. You all had to endure so so so much more with a smile than the customers did. I hope you all were rewarded with the same level of extra perks that the customers were.

  • I was guest services officer onboard when this happened and there are so many lies in the story that it hurts my guts. I do not know if guy is driven by the fame, ignorance or he is purely mean, but it is painful to know that these kind of people exist. For 4 days crew barely had any sleep. We (safety officer, security officer, Captain and me) made sure that people who were on “special needs list” with serious condition are transfered to the other ship. Also, it was not poop, it was water from sprinklers which was activated because of heat.

  • You didn’t mention that the Mexican army offered ships to rescue the passengers and take them back to Cozumel, but the US government didn’t accept. Probably that news was not broadcasted in the US, but here in Mexico, everybody heard about it and there was a press release from the Ministry of Navy saying that the ships were ready to go for the rescue.

  • “With temperatures up to 82 degrees it would get uncomfortably hot during the day!” My dude… you said this cruise was from Texas to Mexico and back. As a born and raised Texan near the boarder, we HOPE for days that are only 82 degrees. We are more used to 112 degrees during the day in the summer. I would be REJOICING at 82 degrees all day. “Uncomfortable” maybe to people who aren’t from this area, but I’d imagine most people on that ship did just fine lol

  • generator 6 caught on fire risking and even more major fire on board . many passengers we’re totally unaware however the crew and staff were very much aware sadly even the fire prevention system did not work either. This was caused because of fuel lines that were not serviced properly and had already been told by US Coast Guard to fix the problem. They also found the same problem on others Carnival ships. Carnival was Notorious for filling out false paperwork showing that the maintenance work was done when in reality it was not done properly they had only replaced fuel lines that could be seen but not all of the fuel lines. In fact their own crew members were complaining of constant fuel leakage smell of fuel. This is why the ship lost power and was unable to have cold or hot food. With no AC And also this is why the raw sewage started to overflow creating such a horrible stench that the people were forced to set up tents outside using their sheets from their rooms. The really sad and unfortunate thing is is Royal Caribbean offered to finish the cruise for Carnival however Carnival refused the offer. They would rather inconvenience their guests and put their guests and crew members at extreme safety risk rather than take the embarrassment of being rescued by another company. Royal Caribbean was just doing their due diligence as it is required upon them to help any vessel that is in close proximity that is in need called maritime law.

  • I was on a Carnival cruise (my ship was called Fantasy) around the Bahamas the exact same time this was happening. I remember being constantly bombarded on the TVs with the media circus, and it made me terrified for my entire trip. I was 10 years old then, and I’m just know finding out what really happened through this article. Honestly, I’m glad it doesn’t seem to be as tragic as my 10-year-old self made it out to be. I have to applaud the staff for making sure everyone had enough food and still pulled through with entertainment to get people’s mind off the issue. Thanks for the article

  • I actually took a thanksgiving cruise on the Triumph in 2014 and I was slightly concerned because y’know, this ship was known for one of the worst incidents in recent history. It actually turned out to be what I was calling my favorite cruise ever, which changed as of November last year when I went on another thanksgiving cruise. Ironically, it was one of the next ships to make a name for itself due to an incident, the Carnival Vista

  • I have never even heard of this, holy crap This is insane.. it’s like they all forced to live in a poor part of India for a while. The passengers have a good attitude about it. Also pretty smart to make the tent cities and pull the mattresses out lol. I wonder how many people just slept in the room with the awful smell!

  • I went on a carnival cruise when I was a child, we got stuck at sea for an extra week because of a terrible storm. I’m a,most certain it wasn’t this ship, because I would have remembered the poo incident. The storm was so bad they wouldn’t let us go up on deck for days. It took like 4 days for the storm to pass, we were already supposed to be home so the food had started rotting. I remember the crew scavenged together some leftover pineapple pizza and lemonade. They were both rotten and I refused to eat them, to my shock there were so many people there that were so spoiled themselves that they had no idea what spoiled food tasted like. Let’s just say I did not grow up privileged… People were barfing everywhere. The entire ship stunk of pineapple lemonade puke… I can still remember it to this day and cannot stand pineapple pizza or lemonade…

  • I’ve been in many of these shop for vacation. Last time was in 2017 when I took a western Caribbean and I was so disappointed on what have they turned into. Now they only stay at ports for a few hours and you can’t even explore any of the destinations. That was my last one. Ever since the. I book a flight, rent a Airbnb and a car and do my vacation that way exploring a particular place. I find it a better experience and more fun. I will never cruise again. It’s not fun for me any more. They only care about leaving your money on the ships. Later Cruise industry.

  • God bless the crew who served during this chaotic week 🙏 I can’t imagine how difficult it was to keep up a happy front while pulling out all stops to try to keep the 3k passengers safe and happy. (The captains idea for the open bar may have been unwise, but the crew as a whole deserves massive commendation 🫡)

  • Ships are still machines and machines break down unfortunately this happened out at sea but of all the cruises that I’ve taken in my lifetime the carnival triumph was the best I had taken it in 2003 from New York up to Halifax and it was incredible the service was impeccable the only person that could have treated you better was your mother

  • First-time Cruise review 🛳 from someone who thought cruises were lame (me): It’s like a giant 7 day luxury hotel sleepover!! My whole extended family was going on a cruise on the Carnival Valor and my girlfriend and I were invited (age 26 at the time) but this was the first vacation I’d have to pay for myself, and they were all getting balcony staterooms which would cost me $1100 total (plus alcohol if I choose, and tips.) I was very reluctant and asked what am I even going to do? Stuck on a ship with a ton of people, I don’t really care about trying new food, etc.. Well they talked me into it somehow and I dragged my feet the whole way there in a foul mood. Until the very moment I stepped foot through the ship’s doorway: Holy shit!!! I had no idea it was like THIS?! It’s like a huge luxury hotel! You see the huge foyer/atrium and all the floors and elevators and staircases and it’s like wow… where do I even start?? Comfy couches and chairs and tables everywhere!! Everywhere man!! A hundred cute little random spots you wanna come back later and just read a book there because it’s so neat. Our room? Was it super cramped and rough? Hell no!! It was impressive!! Yeah it’s more compact than a land hotel but they’ve done an excellent job optimizing everything to utilize the space and we didn’t feel cramped at all. The shower and bathroom were perfectly fine. I was definitely glad I sprung the extra $300 or whatever for the balcony!!! (As opposed to a cheaper windowless indoor room) One of the biggest things you don’t realize is HOW AMAZING IT IS TO BE TRULY AT SEA.

  • I live in an entitled society with expectations that must match or exceed my life perception. And where circumstances and people fail me, I take liberty to express my dissatisfaction without thought of consequence or hurt. Because in the end, it is me that matters. Phil 4:11-13 “… I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

  • At 8:35 it was mentioned that up to 3 inches of grease was building up from the kitchens. I’ve never worked in a commercial kitchen or on a cruise ship, but how much do they use each day for something like that to be a problem. I’m really curious to know so if anyone has any insight it would be really appreciated. That’s just crazy! 🤯

  • I’ve never been on a cruise ship and have always thought that it would be ‘hell on earth’. A retirement village or serviceman’s club on water with no escape. I couldn’t imagine anything worse as a holiday…well I couldn’t imagine anything worse until I saw this. Wow, they were all reimbursed a whole $500.>..

  • When this happened. My heart went out to all of the people on the ship. This was the worst mistake that carnival made in this event. When this happened. Carnival, I had thought that, they should of towed this ship back to Mexico. Not deciding to keep people on board and pushing it back to the USA port it left from.It was the worst choice they made. I live carnival cruise lines. Abd sail on them always. The crew us remarkable and very professional. I never had a bad sailing on them.

  • My question is, if all the news crews and God knows what all can come close enough to film the ship, why couldn’t they start picking up people from the ship? Most ships have a place for helicopters to land. I just don’t understand why they didn’t try to evacuate at least the disabled or elderly, children etc..

  • I just sailed on the Sunrise for Thanksgiving. Oh my gawd, had no idea. Thankfully I was in a balcony room and we had a great cruise with no problems But had I known this I probably wouldn’t have sailed on it. Wow! I do not blame the cruise line. Planes fall out of the sky, cruise ships catch fire, condo buildings collapse. It’s life. I think the staff did a tremendous job, but I’m sure it was traumatizing for those who experienced it.

  • My question is, in this day and age, how is this even happening? What started the fire? Is there no auto shut off of engines or pipes when fire is detected? What would cause a pipe to burst like that? This a billion dollar ship, I would think that everything is built to last. Anyone got any documents or articles of what exactly happened in the engine room? It would be an interesting story especially from an engineers perspective.

  • That girl crying at the end in front of all the cameras shows you exactly how pampered we are in western civilization. It was 5 days of not being able to properly shower or use the bathrooms, not 5 weeks stop the theatrics. The reporters are just as bad coaxing her on as if she just got back from a POW camp.

  • Not sure where you got your information from, but I am going to guess it was from the news stations that had my child in tears thinking his mom was dying. IT WAS NOT THAT BAD!!!!!! Yes I was lucky enough to have a balcony so I didn’t need to sleep on deck. The real problem were the other passengers. They would take 5 and 6 trays full of food, they would end up throwing away. There were working bathrooms you just had to walk to them. People were too lazy and used bathrooms that said out of order. There are so many other things wrong with what you have said.

  • Just the 500 to each passenger would be 1.5 million if 3000 passengers were onboard. D@mn right money changes everything. They should’ve mentioned the $ from the very beginning. I hope the staff got heavily compensated as well cuz I’m sure they were miserable. Their jobs r hard as is but when everyone on the ship is miserable & they still have to be pleasant on top of doing extra to make the messed up circumstances manageable. As someone mentioned, could u imagine how bad it was for the kitchen staff? Yikes

  • People are so ungrateful, constantly complaining, they should praise the cruise line for getting them home safe and sound, not getting drunk, fighting, and hoarding. It’s common knowledge when you go on any passenger line, air land and sea, that sometimes shit can go wrong, and best be prepared for anything.

  • I have taken many Royal Caribbean cruises. I took one Carnival cruise, and thats the first and last for me. The staff was rude, stole my husbands custom made clothes, and stole my towels that you leave on the bathroom floor for the staff to take and replace with clean towels. I just couldn’t believe that Carnival gets away with this. They told us that if we have any qualms we can go the debark station and air our claims and get a refund. The debark station opened at 6 am. Our flight left at 7:45am. So my husband stood in line as long as he could and never spoke with a person. We were fit to be tied. Never again, will I take a Carnival cruise. Every time something happens, its always a Carnival cruise ship that makes the news.

  • Wait. They gave them a refund, a free cruise, and $500… and people were happy with that?! A refund is a given, a free cruise is “at cost” to them. Meaning you think your getting a dollar amount equal to MSRP but what they’re really paying is just the “at cost” dollar amount which is way less. And $500? That’s not going to be even close to breaking even with most adults. You took a week off, right? Either it was you allotted, payed vacation or unpaid vacation, either way it’s worth considerably more than $500. All the other expenses you invest in; a new bathing suit, an Uber, a flight for some, house sitters, etc. $500 ain’t going to cut it. Plus, this isn’t a “break even” situations. I’m going to need an appropriate amount of compensation, thank you. People are gullible. I would’ve started a mutiny.

  • Cruises are the cheapest gutter option for people to feel like they’re getting some semblance of a luxury vacation and it only happens because companies can sell them rooms that aren’t on land owned by anyone or governed or taxed by any province. Then when something goes wrong, this is what happens to you and you can’t get away.

  • No one really remembers the camping trip where everything went right, but we all remember the camping trip where the wind blew down the tent, and everyone had to huddle from the cold rain under a tree because the car keys were lost in the mud. My point is… it’s the tough times we remember as it brings out our humanity.

  • This was the Carnival Triumph. I was on this ship 2 weeks before this happened. Our room was over the engine room. After our first port I noticed a different rumbling once we set out again. I told my family the engine sounded and felt weird but they brushed me off. Maybe I should have told somebody…

  • Went to my one and only Carnival cruise several years back. Food wasn’t good. Also my sister got sick. Also, the workers all rely on tips which can be blatantly implied. I better enjoyed the SuperStar cruises which I think have been renamed. Food and amenities were better and tip asking wasn’t as blatant. One good tip though, go on a not so busy season. Workers aren’t as overworked so they are more pleasant. At the same time, there aren’t that many people. Sincerely glad the passengers were compensated but I hope the crew were too. I’m sure they did all they could to make this manageable.

  • I was on a cruise stuck aground once and it took 5 or so tugs and high tide for us to break free. A small crowd watch from the rear where they had ropes linking the ship and tugs which seemed to be a hazard to me. They don’t care, they just want your money. Piss sloshing all over the place, poop buckets lining the halls, open bars that lead to a high ratio of belligerence, tent cities, movie nights and comped surf n’ turf even. Maybe someday I’ll get to go on a Real poop cruise from hell. Who knows!? Maybe I’d meet the love of my life there, and we’d have a story to share for ages!

  • The correct procedure would have been to muster lifeboat stations, and abandon ship, issue a general distress, and call for company tugs to tow the abandoned vessel to port. Passengers had the right idea, all along, right from the start. Carnival inc. was dead wrong to keep those passengers aboard, under those conditions.

  • ok this article really outlines why i am never going on a cruise jfc. stuck in a giant hotel mall with thousands of other people and a tiny room. outbreaks of disease are extremely common but then you also have potential for situations like this where you’re stuck because youre in the middle of the fucking ocean and there is no way to leave. what a terrible idea

  • I understand the panic the guests had, but hoarding food is easily the dumbest thing you could do. As a kitchen worker myself, I know for a fact that the staff had to have packed well more than what they anticipated and that there was no risk of running out of food for another couple days, which was proven right when the ship didn’t hesitate to serve all the guests shrimp cocktails and steak for lunch as mere celebration. Since they’re on the sea, there is no way to restock, so you have to prepare food for the entire ship for the whole trip and then some. They would have been fine. I commend Carnival for making sire all the guests made it home alive. No matter what the situation and circumstances on the ship were, thays all we can ask for.
