What Happens When Your Frigates Level Up In Nms?

In No Man’s Sky, frigates are the only ship that can be leveled up. They can be raised from C class to S class by sending them on expeditions. To level up, send the frigate on multiple expeditions until it reaches the next tier. The automatic frigate creation system may forget to level up the frigate one more time, resulting in -6 total points or max.

Frigates level up by losing negative bonuses or gaining positive ones, which change their numbers. As they rank up, they gain more positive abilities and base stats. Each level-up means the frigate gains points on its attributes. For example, a lame C-class with attributes of 17 0 1 1 will eventually grow into an S-class.

The red dot issue will eventually resolve as the frigate levels up, but it may slow it down. As they level up, they gain bonuses slots and stats. There may be some advantages in buying class S frigates that you don’t like.

Any expedition with an organic frigate has a chance of returning with Psionic Eggs, which are used to hatch into upgrade modules for Living Ships. As a frigate level up, it gradually gets more stars as it goes on. However, frigates are the only thing in the game that will actually level up.
