Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has canceled three sailings onboard the Norwegian Epic in 2025, scheduled to depart between mid-April and early May. The Epic, built in 2010, underwent a refurbishment in 2015 and was last scheduled for a dry dock in March 2022. In March 2022, NCL announced that the Epic would be redeployed from its current summer itinerary, causing all cruises aboard the ship to be canceled.
The line has not disclosed where the 4,228-guest ship will sail instead. The Norwegian Epic will sail from Port Canaveral for the winter 2023-24 season instead of a previously scheduled European winter. The Haven on the Epic underwent extensive renovations in November 2020, including reimagined suites and experiences like The Haven Restaurant.
In March 2022, NCL announced that the Epic would be redeployed from her current summer itinerary and all cruises from May through October were cancelled. As a result of a fleet redeployment, Norwegian Epic’s sailings from December 1, 2023, through and including April 9, 2024, have been canceled. The ship has not revealed where the 4,228-guest ship will sail instead.
Guests will receive an automatic refund for the cancellations. The Epic has made eleven cruises on various ships and cruise lines, with the most recent being a fire on May 5, 2010, at the shipbuilders yard in St Nazaire, France.
