** A little explainer about the paid promotion popup** – Hey hey, thanks SO much for perusal this article and your lovely comments, I appreciate it so much. This article has the ‘paid promotion’ popup on it and all social posts related to this cruise have #ad because I was onboard Prima to create content for their YouTube website which is really really cool (you can see the articles on the Norwegian Cruise Line page). I didn’t pay for my cruise fare for this cruise because I was onboard working but the articles are all my own content and my own thoughts/opinions. The only difference is I had access to lots of cool things like speciality meals and the adult only paid for area so I could create some bonus content for you. I hope you will enjoy it, I certainly did! Thanks for perusal. 😀👏🏼
This is an Excellent article that every time you watch this fast paced, well edited article, you pick out things you missed earlier. I have watched it a few times as likely my first Cruise will depart from NYC. There are SO many exciting things to do on this Ship. It would be my first choice for a first Cruise.
I’m so glad you enjoyed your time in Bermuda! (I hope you got to more than just Horseshoe Beach and Crystal Caves!) I’m from NJ and grew up cruising like yourself, but this route was our yearly tradition so I’m fortunate enough to have been there at least 8 times now. I’ve been super intrigued about going on the Prima because I haven’t been on a Norwegian cruise in years, and this might’ve tipped the scales in its favor!
From my balcony I can see the Staten Island Verrazano- narrows bridge and watch many cruiselines sailing and I haven’t try the Noreigian cruise line now that I saw your article about you traveled from London and it has to be a excellent since I am so closed to the cruiseships port here in Brooklyn . Thank you for sharing your article and I will definitely make it as my bucket list . Happy sailing 👍👌
Thanks for the overall coverage of the Prima experience. I have enjoyed Sid Norman’s on other NCL cruises and it definitely is a recommnded night spot on the ship. We ended up going to a show there every evening of our cruise because it was such a great experience. Although I would enjoy seeing the live Price Is Right, I would not wish to be asked to participate. Basically, I am unaware of what prices are for most products! 😅 I would be so embarrassed on stage revealing this to all of my fellow passengers.
I live in Bermuda and saw the Prima come into Dockyard (I have a good view from where I live) – am mad about ships and cruising and have watched almost all your articles. I would love to have met up with you guys on Front St. Am thrilled that you had such a good time here and hope you return to Bermuda soon! 🇧🇲
Great article Emma! Looks like an amazing ship, can’t believe how big the go-kart track is, it looks epic! Also, your cabin looks absolutely lovely with all that artwork above the bed, I wonder if other balcony cabins have the same artwork or whether they’re all different designs. Look forward to your next article 😊🛳
17:50 I’ve never been on a cruise…I’m American, I’m glad you said this…bc I’m someone I guess you’d say is more like the “British” when it comes to participating in things like this. 😂. I have very bad anxiety, so being pulled on stage uknowinly sounds like an absolute NIGHTMARE! I hope to go one day soon… just affordability issues, bc I’d like to bring my kids. So I watch your articles a lot.
Yep know that feeling going under a bridge I live in Australia with my home port being Sydney. only been on handful cruise all with P&O and the port they use means going under Sydney Harbour bridge which is always cool the last time there was even someone using the zipline while going under the bridge
The price is right is perhaps one of the few game shows where they will select people from the audience, although more shows now are using a pool of participants rather than randomly picking people from the audience. I think in later years for the show, they would select from a pool as the show audience got smaller as the years went on. Generally in the US, it ia assumed that you are willing to participate for something (speaking generally here not specific to shows or game shows) and that you have to OPT OUT if you don’t. This is not the case for everything, but many things it is.
My first cruise was the Epic last year from PR. It was kind of a disaster. They left my luggage out in the rain. All of my clothes were soaking wet. When they washed it, everything shrunk. Took a Carnival last week. It was horrible. The same old crappy food, The food on NCL was amazing and the ship was amazing as well.
“… safety drill, which is mandatory on ALL cruises” is not completely true, no cruise in the baltics have safety drills. I believe it has something to do with being at sea less than 24 hours between ports or that you don’t have to get of the ship in the same port as you got on, but most people do (Sweden to Finland and back for example)
Thank you Emma! I also took a Bermuda cruise on the Prima and I have to agree with most everything you said. My only significant negative was that there is nowhere on the Prima to watch American sports. I was cruising during the NFL Draft and I wanted to watch it, but the only sports website-even at the Sports Bar-showed nothing but soccer 24/7 (Boring!!😁) That might be fine when the Prima is in Europe, But from American ports please show American Sports!! Rant over-otherwise an awesome experience!
Hello Emma, we have been on 3 cruises so far (2 RC and been on Discovery Princess to Alaska) you have been on some very amazing trips and wondered if you have a favorite and why. I understand that each cruise line will have its positive and negatives so if you have any recommendations that would be great. Thanks
Great article Emma as always Your enthusiasm for this ship probably got them some bookings for the next few years. I know the feeling about not getting involved We saw the comedian Rob Brydon here in Glasgow and he was mocking gingers and wanted to play tic tac to by getting gingers to stand up He’s scanning the audience and my wife like put yer hood up but fair play to those audience members who love taking part Not for me! 😝😜
the fact that they could get a theater full of people who are “die hard Price Is Right fans” tells me everything I need to know about your fellow passengers … there’s more to a cruise than a beautiful ship and food – it’s very important what kind of people you’re travelling with. I would not let myself be trapped on a ship for several days with that kind of people. Nope. Ain’t gonna happen. Ever. Just too low brow a crowd.
