OMG Roy was only 52!? Christ i never actually did the math i always just sort of thought he was like 70 already, i literally turn 52 in two weeks. man i would jave LOVED to just sit there and listen to Roy tell stories about Sun Records and Elvis, that would have been amazing it is a shame that was not filmed. i always had a rather meh opinion of supergroups because by their sheer nature most of the people involved will probably have reached a point where they have already written all of their best songs, so idea that they are going to be some amazing group is honestly unlikely. but something i love about the Wilbury’s that probably wouldnt happen these days is you have a couple of huge stars that came to prominence in the 60s, as well as a couple that didnt really come to fame until the 70s and even a guy that first came to prominence in the 50s. most supergoups are all of the same basic time and place.
Why have you headlined this “The SAD HISTORY of The GREATEST SUPERGROUP!”? It’s totally misleading, and just clickbait. They created a couple of great albums, and seemingly had a great time making them. Yep, it’s sad that The Big O died before the second album, but that does not justify the headline.
