Our visit to SeaLife Sunshine Coast
SeaLife Sunshine Coast.
We were so excited to pick up our Merlin Annual Pass as this will give us one year access to so many attractions. We started in Mooloolaba at SeaLife Sunshine Coast for a wonderful adventure into the underwater world. We can’t wait to visit so many other attractions with our Merlin Annual Pass.
There are over 10 zones within the SeaLife Sunshine Coast aquarium and each zone presents a different part of the ocean. We were given a map on entry that described each zone and gave us a list of times for the presentations that are held at SeaLife. We planned out our day with our first stop being the sting rays and the touch pools.
SeaLife Sunshine Coast Touch Pools.
We started with a hands-on experience with the touch pools where the kids held starfish and a shark egg. There was even sea urchins and sea cucumbers to feel. There was a very patient man called Max who answered the many questions that the kids asked about the sea life in the touch pools.
We then headed to the seating stadium to get a great spot for the seal show. The seal show was one of our favourites that kept us entertained and the kids laughed at the seals antics. We used the opportunity to sit and rest and have our morning tea. Food can be brought into the aquarium and there is also the opportunity to buy snacks at the seal show. The seals show was informative and very entertaining with one of the handlers falling in the seal pool!!

We loved seeing the new Finding Dory exhibition that has just opened at SeaLife Sunshine Coast. The exhibition is very hands on and the information is simple enough for little ones and interactive as well. There were plenty of Dories and Nemos to find. The kids all loved putting the paper turtles into the tubes and watching the turtles join the Eastern Sea Currents.

If you know an Octonauts fan then SeaLife is the place to go. There is so much to see and do for Octonauts fans as they are throughout SeaLife which was wonderful to see and my kids really enjoyed it.
Lots of Octonauts at SeaLife Sunshine Coast.
Our family favourite was the underwater ocean tunnel. We spent a large amount in the tunnel watching all the sharks and stingrays swim over the top of us. The kids were fascinated watching the ocean come to life.
We had such a wonderful time at the aquarium and can’t wait to return! With our passes we are able to visit as many times as we like for 12 months.
You can get your own Merlin Annual Pass which would make fantastic Christmas presents.
