  • Loved my time on St. Lucia, but it takes over two hours to get from the international airport in the south of the island to the major resorts in the north. I stayed at the Sandals Grande and it was beautiful and the other two Sandals on the island are also beautiful. Just keep the travel times in mind if you decide to go.

  • Thank you for this article it is absolutely awesome my grandmother was from St. Lucia why she ever came to the United States and then never returned back to St. Lucia is beyond me but I’m making it part of my bucket this to not only go and visit where you articles the island at it possible to build my vacation home there thank you so much awesome awesome article🎉🎊😊💖

  • Great location, guy… You have to make a trip to ILHABELA, in Brazil..! It seems like Santa Lucia (a little bit). The hills near to the beach, the water have no waves (in the near ferryboat side) and in the oceanic side, back the island, you reach the Paradise; PRAIA DE CASTELHANOS.! Well… Another fantastic choice in Brazil is FERNANDO DE NORONHA… It is a place of indescribable beauty too..! And enjoy the trip..!😉👍

  • Hi. Great article. Ty for the info tips. I’m planning to go to a few of these islands – Cuba, Bahamas, Turk & Caicos, Barbados, Aruba, Curaçao, Kitts & Nevis, Anguilla, St Lucia, Trinida & Tobago, St Vincent & Grenadines, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, Cartegena, Caracas, Jamaica. But I don’t know what’s the best or most economical way to travel bwtn them. Some say the small planes are expensive. Can you name some airlines and boat operators in that part of the world please? Thank you very much!!! 😊

  • A beautiful article. I have just a few corrections (mostly pronunciations) Anse Chastanet is pronounced ‘anse chastanay’ – it’s French – part of our heritage. The reason why the water at the Diamond Waterfall is grey is because is flows right out of the volcano. The beach you called jealousy plantation is a direct translation from French (which is correct) but the actual name is ‘Jalousie’ but Sugar Beach is actually the name of the resort not the beach. The whole area is called Jalousie. That being said, I wouldn’t want to grow up anywhere else.

  • Went there during a cruise. Was almost attacked by a man with a machete. A few hours later my brother was robbed in the middle of the day. I intervened and did what needed to be done. This place is physically beautiful but the people hate visitors and it was very obvious. Saw another couple almost get attacked. This all happened within a few hours. Never went back.

  • St Lucia now has an AMAZING AIRPORT TRANSFER Ferry Service – FunToSee Island Ferry ! Complimentary wine, beer, champagne, snacks and the crew tells GREAT NARRATIVE of the towns and sites you see along the way! From Hewanorra Airport to almost ALL of the major resorts, including Sandals Grande, La Toc and Halcyon, as well as Royalton, Cap Maison, Bay Gardens…. It’s FANTASTIC !

  • Hmmm….I had a disappointed experience day trip in St. Lucia. Maybe I went to the wrong place. I visited 6 islands with a day trip at each place and St. Lucia was my least favorite. We went to Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and Puerto Rico (Feb 2023). We did the island’s tour and snorkeling at 4 of the islands. In St. Lucia, we went to see the Pitons and Volcano/mud bath areas. Getting there was unpleasant with the rough, up/down, and twisted/turned for like 2 hours each way. There was nothing much to see at the Volcano place, and we weren’t interested in the mud bath. I felt unsafe went through the towns because it seemed to be a high crime place. I like Aruba the most because of the beautiful beaches and well developed place. The Klein Bonaire uninhabited island has an amazing beach and the best snorkeling experience.

  • Mmmm If you know you know 🤔In the Caribbean there are many islands that can occupy that list, but for me the Caribbean island with the greatest variety of environments and a lot beaches, jungle and microclimates is by far Dominican Republic, big island with a lot stuff for discover and a great cosmopolitan city.🤷🏾‍♂️ I just was in Las Terrenas 3 times and I have not yet found in the Caribbean so many kilometers of beaches with as much vegetation as I saw there, it’s crazy.

  • Did You Know that St Lucia was the first country to be named after a woman? One of just two countries in the world to be named after a woman (Ireland was named after the Celtic goddess of fertility Eire). St Lucia was named after Saint Lucy of Syracuse. Although, St Lucia is the only country to be named after a historical woman. The reasoning behind the name is unclear, what we do know though, is that it was the early French settlers who so dubbed the island after the Patron Saint of blindness and throat infections – Lucy must’ve been standing at the back when they were giving out patronages.

  • I’ve visited, Capri, Sardinia, Santorini, and Crete. Saint Lucia was my first island in the Caribbean. It doesn’t hold a candle to the Mediterranean destinations. Food was bad, portions were small. So poverty stricken it was almost third world. And the beaches were underwhelming. Makes me not want to go back to the Caribbean at all.

  • Saint Lucia the Island itself is extremely beautiful but the Island of Moorea gets my vote by a long mile as paradise on Earth. I should mention the food in French Polynesian is also second to none, the coral reefs will blow your mind and there is 100x more sea life, Polynesian women are so sexy and if that wasn’t enough to excite in France going topless on the beach is the norm. For superior diving I prefer my tropical Islands to be much older. I also dig trying to speak French. Oh La La Baby!

  • Who is responsible for the safety of arriving cruise ship visitors, this robbery happened 150 meters outside of the terminal during daytime, I have been many times to St Lucia and other Islands as well, and before you start promoting, promote and guarantee the safety of visitors, the water around the island is gray, not like Cozumel-Grand Cayman or Varadero…..
