All big ferries arrive and depart from this harbor! Blue Star Ferries, Highspeed ferries, Hellenic Seaways, Fast Ferries, Aegean Speedlines, Golden Star Ferries, etc.
Furthermore, the New Port is connected to “Chora” and the Old Port by Taxi, public Bus, and Sea Bus. The main Taxi stand is situated exactly across and left as you disembark from the ferries (check the map here). The Bus station is also in the same area, just next to the Taxis. The Sea Bus station is a little bit further away towards the exit of the port (check the map here).
During high season it is highly recommended to take either the public bus or the sea bus to Mykonos town since taxis are almost impossible to find!

I realize that there are water taxis between the beaches on the south of the island. But is there a water taxi to get there from the old town. Or what is the best way to get to the beach area and back for an afternoon of beach time after the morning in the old town?
