Is It Safe To Visit China In Russia?

Russia has a current risk level of 4.40 out of 5 and is highly recommended to reconsider travel to the country. The safety index is based on travel advisories from independent 8 sources, and travelers will not be required to quarantine upon arrival. However, if they get sick in Russia, they will have to be quarantined for a period of seven days at their own expense. Those who have come in contact with infected people do not require quarantining (provided they did not contract the coronavirus).

Travel to Russia as a tourist in 2023 is possible, but visa requirements must be checked. Authorities may impose curfews and travel restrictions on short notice. If traveling to Mainland China, enter the PRC on your U.S. passport with a valid PRC visa. European airlines have not been able to compete on a “level playing field” with Chinese counterparts, who are permitted to use Russian airspace.

In 55 more countries, including Europe and Asia, such as Germany, Denmark, Japan, and China, electronic visas can be applied for to enter Russia. However, due to Covid-19-related travel restrictions and rules/guidelines, Indian nationals should not travel to Russia.

China is an extremely safe destination with friendly services, breathtaking scenery, and a renowned culinary culture. While there are some difficulties faced by Chinese tourists, including safety concerns, the vast majority of them avoid all travel to Russia due to the impacts of the armed conflict with Ukraine and the risk of terrorism. Residents who intend to visit or are already there should monitor the situation, exercise caution, and attend to personal safety.

Are Russia and China friendly?

China and Russia have a long-standing relationship, dating back to the 17th century when the Qing dynasty attempted to drive Russian settlers out of Manchuria. The two nations signed the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation in 2001, which was renewed in June 2021 for five more years. The two nations have enjoyed close relations militarily, economically, and politically, supporting each other on various global issues. Commentators have debated whether the bilateral strategic partnership constitutes an alliance, but they officially declared their relations “not allies, but better than allies”.

The ties have continued to deepen after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, with Russia increasingly becoming dependent on China due to large-scale international sanctions. The Russian Empire consolidated control over the Russian Far East in the 19th century after annexing part of Chinese Manchuria (1858–1860). During the Cold War, China and the USSR were rivals, competing for control of the worldwide Communist movement. There was a serious possibility of a major war between the two nations in the early 1960s, but relations began to lessen after the death of Chinese Communist Party chairman Mao Zedong in 1976.

Is there a possibility of World War III?

The ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine and rising geopolitical tensions between the US and China have been seen as potential triggers for a third world war. Time magazine was an early adopter of the term “World War III”, with its first usage appearing in its November 1941 issue. The term was reused in 1943, when US Vice President Henry A. Wallace stated that they would decide whether to plant the seeds of World War III in 1943 or 1944. Time continued to use the term in stories for the rest of the decade and onwards, including 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, and 1948.

The term “World War III” remains in use today, as seen in a 2015 book review. Military strategists have used war games to prepare for various war scenarios and determine the most appropriate strategies, as they did for World War I and World War II.

Who are Russia’s top 5 friends?

A 2014 BBC World Service Poll found that 85 of Russians view India positively, with only 9 expressing a negative view. A 2017 opinion poll by the Moscow-based think tank Levada-Center states that Russians identified India as one of their top five “friends”, with the others being Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, and Syria. A poll conducted in summer 2022 shows that Indians most frequently named Russia their most trusted partner, with 43 naming Russia as such compared to 27 who named the US.

Archaeological sites such as Pazyryk indicate that nomads conducted trading activities with India during the 4th-3rd century BCE. Russian traveller Afanasy Nikitin began his journey to India in 1468, completing the book The Journey Beyond Three Seas. In the 18th century, Russian cities Astrakhan, Moscow, and St. Petersburg were frequently visited by Indian merchants. Russia and Iran were used as a transit trade between Western Europe and India, especially after Peter the Great requested from Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb the commencement of trade relations in 1696.

The Russian czar granted Anbu-Ram Mulin’s Indian trading company the right to resolve property rights issues in Astrakhan, allowing Indians to bring in caravans with their linen fabrics, cottons, silks, and Indian, Persian, and Uzbek cloth.

The value of goods exported by Indian merchants from Astrakhan into the interior cities of Russia in 1724 exceeded 104, 000 rubles, amounting to nearly a quarter of all Astrakhan trade.

I am a school teacher who was bitten by the travel bug many decades ago. My husband Billy has come along for the ride and now shares my dream to travel the world with our three children. The kids Pollyanna, 13, Cooper, 12 and Tommy 9 are in love with plane trips (thank goodness) and discovering new places, experiences and of course Disneyland.

  • In fact, the whole world has become a vassal to China, economically. There’s hardly a single product to purchase that is not made in China/Asia. They employ cheap labor who often work under terrible conditions with no trade union or rights. Hence it’s possible for China to sell products to a low price and we are buying, whether we like it or not. Most of the time we have no choice, since most of the Western manufacturing has been sold off to China because our businesses couldn’t survive the competion. I live in Sweden and this is my take on the situation.

  • Mikhail Kapitsa, deputy minister of foreign affairs of the Soviet Union, said in 1982 : “The Chinese never befriend anyone for a long time.”Like Putin, the much stronger than he CCP is free of any scruples, thinks long term and outsmarts the rest of the World. But there are also decent Chinese, as Elmer Yuen (videos) in opposition and those who made Singapore.

  • China is dancing economically – has a very aggressive economic policy worldwide – a strong competitor on the world market that is causing the domestic economy to falter – cars, chemicals, electronics – difficult to keep up – the Russian automotive industry now has nothing to laugh about and RU is not represented in the other areas either – Corona or the incident in the Suez Canal demonstrate the dependency of many countries due to a collapse in the supply chain – China is neither a friend nor an enemy, but a global player who knows its strengths and knows how to take advantage of opportunities without regard to his contractual partners – After Nordstream, Germany in particular has reconsidered its energy concept, but this will only become apparent in the future when the networks are expanded and only the existing ones are maintained – sun and wind don’t cost anything – the annual figures will show whether India or China are an equivalent replacement – At least they are conserving their own reserves for the future when the raw materials become more expensive and will probably have taken advantage of the opportunity financially – RU is investing more in the SMO economy and is putting a lot of money into it, regardless of where it comes from and how long it will be worth – war goods quickly lose value when they are used – advertising for western war goods is going a little better than for RU products – western and Asian development continues parallel to the war while the Russian one is limited – a loss of manpower due to fallen soldiers and injured people and their financial compensation – the new areas will also demand their contribution – annexed areas need control and development – RU will need a lot of money and time and manpower in the future – a small decision but a rat’s tail of consequences – RU may win the war – the question remains: was it a wise decision to start an SMO or a total misjudgment from the start – Putin seems to me like a little boy who didn’t get what he wanted, doesn’t want to admit his mistakes and is afraid to lose face to be able to just lash out – the Russians have known it for a long time but they love their time loop and console themselves with their mentality, blinded and bewildered by obvious propaganda and their love for the country – the largest country in the world – 9th place in terms of population and 8th place in GDP – ?

  • It’s good to see that the local people have a variety of opinions. And that they can express those opinions to a degree. This could very well mean that they have various opinions about the government and Putin and that many would like to see changes made. (One brave man actually said he wants to see Putin gone.) It’s at this point that many can’t express how they truly feel, because of fear. I would ask them how they like living in an authoritarian regime where they don’t have freeedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly. The idea is to get them to realize they are Putin’s puppets. And I would ask the,m, “How do you like being a puppet?”

  • That is a dumb question, the answer is no. Actually China depends A LOT on Russian raw materials. Russia is a independent country, so is China. China is the superpower now, so Russia respects it and works with them instead of trying to destroy them, as US does. More appropriate and logical questions would be: is Israel a US colony? Is UK a US colony? is Japan a US colony? Is Europe a US colony? Bye.

  • HEADSHOT 🌎☮️ Excellent content and interviews! 🤌🏼 Guys! 🇨🇳s’ economy is TOP NOTCH! I never would’ve expected 🇷🇺ians would ENVY the way 🇨🇳 conducts business and how they run/operate/handle their government/citizens, according to that woman plus the “majority” of 🇷🇺 citizens. 🧐😅🫴 I can’t forget to mention 🇷🇺’s greatest and most loyal ally that helped them in their time of need, 🇰🇵. WE truly are living in a strangely bizarre era.

  • Ask the people if they believe in God? If they believe they are a good person? If they believe they are going to heaven or hell? Do they believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior? Do they believe they came from a frog or God made them in his likeness? Do you love your enemies? It will show their values and their purpose.

  • The Japanese started invading China in 1931. So the Chinese people were fighting a much longer war than the Europeans were fighting the Nazi’s. Different from the Germans, the Japanese never apologized to the Chinese people, instead, they denied what they did to the Chinese and other Asian people. The Australians also seem to have forgotten how their soldiers were being tortured to death by the Japanese. The world need to remember what really happened.

  • You went to 731 meseum! Without knowing the unspeakable suffering the Chinese has endured in the past century, it is impossible to fully understand why Chinese people today are so hardworking, united and determined. The victim of unit 731(and many other similar units) is not only Chinese. In order to acquire accurate data on all races the Japanese also took ally prisoners of war to Harbin and Shenyang for their evil experiment, which include Russian,British,American and Australian. We are all in this together. Please accept my sincere gratitude. You are a true friend. Also, there is a reason why it is so little known to the outside world just as how China is demonized. If you reveal too much detail of the museum you will not only receive threat but also face problems with YouTube. My suggestion is not to go into details just let the world know such museum exists and people should pay a visit. Enough.

  • At the exit of the 731 Museum, you walked a long way, symbolizing that moving forward, there is light at the exit, peace and prosperity ahead. Let’s not forget the path that led Chinese here, and remember our great martyrs. We need to understand the true history of the people’s suffering, recognize the reality that being backward and weak leads to being bullied and oppressed, and work to build China into a world power, ensuring such historical tragedies are never repeated.I wish our country and its people never again suffer from foreign aggression and bullying. Our Chinese will also forever remember the contributions made to China by the Canadian doctor Norman Bethune. 🥰

  • The current 731 Museum is actually a new museum. In the old museum, many visitors were given psychological counseling when they entered and exited. They were afraid that the visitors would not be able to bear it. There were scratches on the walls of the old museum, blood stains on the ground, and babies soaked in formalin., the chemical smell permeating the air of human tissue… Thank you very much for posting this article to let more people in the world know about the crimes Japan has committed. That period of history is the pain of us Chinese, we cannot and will not We will forget history. Today’s China is no longer what it used to be. People’s living standards have improved. I hope you can have a happy Chinese New Year in China. I wish you and your wife a Happy Chinese New Year in advance.:_Canada:❤❤❤❤

  • Thanks for having the courage to visit and show the Unit 731 museum. That part of history, along with the nanjing massacre and other atrocities Japanese did to chinese, korean, ryokyo people, malaysians and other SE countries are unspeakable and cannot be forgotten. The US and the West purposely choose not to remind the world of this piece of history because Japan became American ally after WWII, but we Asians will never forget, regardless how much PR the Japanese government has spent on.

  • something to add for people who are interested: 1. some local people or people who visited Unit 731 site before when there was an “old part” opened said that today’s museum/site is rather “plain” and “conserved” because the museum only uses a lot picture images so it is less traumatising to more age groups. 2. before the Japanese army left they also realised batches and batches of rats and pests which carried viruses to the wild causing contagious diseases going around China for the following decades, it only got controlled till 1950’s. 3. Most of the people committed the crime never got punished, instead they lived privileged lives and became elites in post war Japan’s political sector, medical sectors or research institutes. 4. Most of the evidence got destroyed, only these small amount of evidences have been obtained by Soviet red army who also prosecuted the captured ones as war criminals.

  • What a lovely couple! Here’s some background information about Harbin: In the early 20th century, the Russian Tsar was overthrown in a revolution, leading to the escape of many Russian nobles. Some went to Europe, while others sought refuge in the Far East, including Harbin. As a result, Harbin boasts numerous Russian-style buildings and cuisine. The Chinese-Russian population in the border regions of China consists of the descendants of those who escaped to China. Despite having just three days, you still managed to visit the 731 Memorial Museum. It’s remarkable that, among the many YouTubers who visit China, you are the only ones I’ve seen who visited this museum, even though its somber content may not directly benefit travel articles. As a Chinese person, I sincerely thank you for your visit. I hope you have a smooth and joyful journey! Looking forward to your new articles!

  • Many years have passed, and the movie “Black Sun 731” can still scare me. Live experiments conducted with a large number of Chinese and a small number of Russians and Koreans. After World War II, as an exchange for exemption from punishment, the 731 unit handed over experimental data to the United States (Fort Detrick), and many members of the 731 unit joined major hospitals in Japan.

  • The Chinese are grateful to everyone who takes our history seriously. The crimes of the Japanese and their refusal to apologize and ignore the crimes so far should be condemned by peace-loving people all over the world. And you, my friend, I am very grateful for your voice, and I also say thank you for the other six friends

  • Thanks for showing your viewers the 731 Museum🙏 More people from the world should know the atrocities Chinese people had been through during WWII. Commemorating war museums is not to promote hate towards Japanese people, just like the Auschwitz Museum is not for Jews to forever hating the Germans. It simply reminds us that wars are horrific, and we must not repeat the same mistakes from the past. As a Chinese, and only speaking for myself, I have many close Japanese friends and really appreciate their politeness and kindness. Only by visiting these museums, one can realize how quickly wars can turn humans into animals… Let’s not forget history, and let’s make the world a better and more peaceful place for all🙏🙏🙏 Happy Chinese New Year!

  • Wow, I did not even know this kind of museum existed, nor did I know this kind of atrocity took place. I am a proud Chinese and been living in Europe for most of my life. This was never taught in school and I always thought the Holocaust was the most darkest part of human history. I plan to visit this museum on my next visit to China. Steve & Ivana, Thank You guys sooo much for putting this out there. Happy Chinese New Year to you both ❤️

  • Thank you for visiting the 731 Museum and shedding light on the history of the Japanese invasion. Your article serves as an important reminder of the atrocities committed during that time, and your courage to revealing the truth to the western world is truly commendable. Thank you for using your platform to educate and raise awareness about this cruel and bloody chapter in history. It’s crucial to remember and honor the victims of such tragic events.

  • In the trial of war criminals during World War II, the United States helped 731 war criminals evade trial and brought the main researchers of 731 to the United States with high salaries, establishing the Fort Derrick US Army Laboratory. The poisoning of American civilians around the 1960s came from these people. In the summer of 2019, white lung disease appeared around the Fort de Crick laboratory, which was called “caused by electronic smoke” in the United States. At the World Military Games held in Wuhan, China, in October 2019, American athletes were stationed around the seafood market where COVID-19 broke out in November, and several athletes had a record of sudden high fever. This hospital was also the outbreak point of COVID-19 later, just around the seafood market.Later investigations proved that personnel from this hospital often made purchases at the seafood market, and the infection chain was very clear.

  • I am of Chinese ancestry (Taiwan) but brought up outside of Asia since the age of 1. I grew up knowing about this very dark part of the the not so distant history… Have travelled throughout China for work and pleasure during my adult years. Have been to Harbin but never had the courage to visit the museum till this day. So I genuinely understand what you meant by lost for words in your vocabulary… it shows us that humans re capable of unspeakable atrocities… and for what?

  • As someone from Pakistan, i’m shocked that i didn’t know anything about Unit 731 as Japanese atrocities are barely ever mentioned in mainstream and social media. My deepest condolences to Chinese people. Some traumas can never be healed but i hope we learn from history and make a better future for our people. ❤

  • It is worth pointing out that, in addition to Unit 731 in Harbin, the Imperial Japanese Army also established human experimentation units in various occupied countries and regions in Asia. These inhumane medical researches have in fact produced many valuable results, as these human experiments were not permitted by civilised societies, which is unique in the history of mankind. After the surrender of Japan, the United States made deals with war criminals in order to obtain the results of these researches, and in the end almost no one was tried. For example, Shiro Ishii, the founder and leader of Unit 731, was not prosecuted and lived to the age of 67.

  • Thank you, I remember Ivana comes from Indonesia. Her homeland also suffered from Japanese aggression during World War II, including other Southeast Asian countries. I believe she empathized with this because I noticed that her emotions were a bit low in this episode. During World War II, Allied soldiers, including Australian soldiers, were also massacred by the Japanese army, so this is not solely the suffering of the Chinese people. The number of Chinese people killed by the Japanese army and the time they were invaded during World War II was even greater than that of Jews, but the Germans knelt down and apologized, and we received nothing. Remembering history is to prevent disasters from happening again. Every Chinese should remember that heavy period of history, but the Japanese refuse to apologize, so we cannot believe that they have reformed. However, no matter what, we will remember that period of history and not let it disappear in the long river of history. I am very grateful to you for visiting the memorial hall. It is enough to let more people know that this memorial hall has this history. If the introduction is too detailed, it may put you in unnecessary danger. Wishing you peace and happiness. Thank you again.

  • At the Japanese 731 Bacteriological Research Institute near Harbin, not only Chinese, Koreans (or Koreans), and Soviets were used as specimens for live experiments, but also American soldiers captured during the Pacific War. All experimental data of Unit 731 were later appropriated by the United States.

  • As someone from China, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your visit to the 731 Unit Evidence Museum in Harbin. Your choice to explore and share this poignant chapter of history is truly commendable. It’s rare and heartening to see international content creators like yourself confront and disseminate knowledge about the atrocities of the Japanese invasion of China and the profound suffering endured by the Chinese people during World War II. Your willingness to bring these truths to a global audience helps in spreading awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of historical truths that are often overshadowed or forgotten. Thank you not only for making this significant article but also for your curiosity and respect towards our history and culture. I hope your journey through China continues to be enriching and enjoyable, bringing you to even more cities where you can uncover and share stories that bridge cultures and histories. Please know that your efforts are greatly appreciated and supported. I look forward to following more of your adventures and learning experiences across my homeland. Best wishes for your travels!

  • The museum’s exit is a long dark tunnel uphill with the light at the end. The docent will tell you: Don’t look back, move forward, at the exit, there will be the light, the hustle and bustle of the world, the country flourishes and people live in peace. Don’t forget where you came from, there was national and family suffering.

  • Words beat me when expressing my gratitude and respect for witnessing and sharing such a hiddened history. 🫡💐🫡Biggest hope that u will be safe and sound from harassment. Glad to see u like Harbin so much!I had my uni there for four years, and I can assure u it’s also wonderful to go again during summer, the weather and fantastic scenery will bring u back to the cozy vibe in Europe~~And u will love bbq in Qiqihar 齐齐哈尔 where is close to harbin, it got the best beef nationwide or even top among worldwide since 47°latitude is perfect for cow raising. Happy Chinese New Year and wish u splendid journey in Xi’an!!❤❤❤

  • Xian is my home town (which I’ve not been to for 10 yrs). On the way there you could do a little rearch on Tang dynasty. It is when xian was the center of the world. Xian is starting point of the silk road where the west meet the east thousands of years ago. Its food style is influenced by Persia and Arab. Food you should try: 肉夹馍roujiamo, biangbiangmian,凉皮 liangpi, 灌汤包子soup steamed bun, 镜糕 jinggao, 水盆羊肉,胡辣汤,醪糟laozao,酸汤水饺 sour soup dumpling and street grilled kebab 烤串.

  • Thank you for visiting the Unit 731 Museum. But there’s more reason to have fun after visiting the place. When you finish the tour of the museum, you leave via a long, slightly upward tunnel like corridor, and the parting word from the guide before bidding goodbye is, “Remember the pain and suffering of our people, but leave them behind you, and go towards the light.”

  • Thank you both for your courage in sharing the harrowing story of Unit 731 with the world. As a museum that reveals the dark chapters of history, it’s a story often unheard of in the West, yet it’s so crucial to remember. Your willingness to dedicate one of your normally joyful travel articles to this somber subject shows incredible depth and respect for history. I’ve always enjoyed your lighthearted content and adored you two as a couple, but this article truly moved me and inspired me to support you with a small contribution, as a token of my appreciation for your efforts to bring light to such an important, yet often overlooked story.

  • What is the water content of the human body?–about 78% How long can a person survive by drinking only water and not eating?—about 7days How long can a person live without drinking water or eating?–about 3days These data were obtained through live experiments conducted on Chinese people in Unit 731.

  • Is it because of my message? You really went to the 731 Crime Evidence Exhibition Hall. Thank you for letting more people understand the truth and history and the disasters that have happened to the Chinese. You have been to many Chinese cities and have some understanding of China. Today’s China has really made great progress compared to the suffering China in the past. I really hope you can get a long-term tourist visa in the future so you can explore more different parts of China. I will also travel around the world from your perspective.

  • Harbin has grown since our 1st visit in 2006! Great place and a bucket list MUST! Like most places in China you can always return to see something different! Sad, both the German and Japanese used live subjects to experiment on… after the war, the usa gathered these criminals to learn from them! Glad they made a place for people to learn about this activity against humanity! Harbin is a fantastic city year around.

  • Thank you Steve and Ivana! As Harbin is one of the most popular city to visit this year, everyone in China has been talking about going to visit the museum if you are going to Harbin for the ice festival. I certainly did not expect that you would go there and pay your respect! Great article, as a Chinese, I wanna say thank you! Love from Toronto!

  • Thank you for sharing the tour of 731 museum. Personally I really dont like the nationalism and antijapanese atmosphere in China. But for all Chinese people, all East Asian and Southeast Asian people, the war crime Japan made during the second sino japanese war and second world war should never be forget and forgive. What makes the unit 731 special is: unlike the war crime in Europe, Japanese not simply mass killing, but doing vivisections experiment on living human, and most of these participant become doctor and researcher in US and Japan after war, they not get trialed and punished, because they receive immunity from US by trade experiment information. btw really happy to see you enjoy the trip in Harbin, its an amazing city, really like your article!

  • If it is possible, you should consider visiting the Yasukuni Shrine and Yushukan military museum in Japan. Yasukuni Shrine hosts regular events on specific feast days, which occur essentially every month in a year. Even today, the Yasukuni Shrine continues to honor some war criminals who were enemies of the Allies during World War II.

  • Good job you guys made it to Unit 731. It’s not close to the city centre and quite a good museum on a topic that Western textbooks have glossed over. A lot of crimes were committed by the Japanese invaders in the lead-up to and during WW2 on both Chinese and Koreans but compensation and apologies have been abysmal compared to what Germany did in the aftermath.

  • I remember that the transit visa to Shanghai allows visits to nearby cities. However, it seems you didn’t go to any surrounding cities for sightseeing. There’s a city near Shanghai called “Nanjing,” where there is a memorial hall called “The Memorial Hall for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre”. This commemorates another scar on China, marking the inhumane atrocities committed by the Japanese. They slaughtered 300,000 (this number is not an exaggeration) innocent people in the city, including women and children (even pregnant women). The memorial even contains a “Pit of Ten Thousand Corpses,” where you can see the bones of many victims.

  • Thank you for sharing731 to the world. Not only 731, at1937 12.13 in Nanjing, the Japanese army started massacre Nanjing citizens. And they killed about 300,000 people in Nanjing. Nanjing Also has a big museum about it. I spent my childhood in Nanjing And every year in 12.13 all the people will stand in silent tribute it for minutes. And when i was young I heard that when Nanjing government is try to build new communities in certain area they found that the underground is full of human bones…

  • love this article. As a Chinese person studying in the U.S., many people even highly educated professors talk about “Chinese Propaganda” all day long, regarding China as a negative and ignoring many of the facts. While China does have so much room to improve and learn from Western countries, from education to healthcare, etc., I hate to see how politicians have created such bias and extreme polarization that keep people all over the world apart. The real propaganda is to create extremely biased opinions about other countries and regard everything in that country as “propaganda”. At the end of the day, we are all people, we have similarities in pretty much everything, and we should be free to visit each other to boost better humanity.

  • Thanks to Jetlag warriors for sharing, especially the museum which showcases the unspeakable horrors (as you said) but definitely great to visit. We’ve heard of 731 but never thought of visiting the museum. Abe Shinzo’s grandfather, Abe Kan was involved in Unit 731 but was considered a hero in Japan, and Abe Shinzo himself was never apologetic about it. Forgive but never forget. You guys are the powerful warriors of peace. War is never a good thing. Your entire article is so interesting and despite the heavy stuff in the beginning, everything has been lightened up with the beauty and fun:D of Harbin! The food is certainly yummy…

  • You are the first foreigners I have seen showing 731 on YouTube, The Khabarovsk trial convicted 12 war criminals of Unit 731. Except for one who died of illness in prison, the others were released on October 19, 1956, as Japan and the Soviet Union restored diplomatic relations. The number one war criminal, Shiro Ishii, the founder of Unit 731, even escaped trial on the condition that human experimental data on biological warfare and germ warfare were handed over to the US military. Bacteriological weapons fell into the hands of the US military。

  • My English is not good, so the following is translated by a translator. If you don’t understand it very well, please forgive me. First of all, we warmly welcome you to come to China and show the real China to foreigners. Foreign media and governments have smeared China, which has really saddened us. Most Chinese civilians do not know how to use VPN, cannot log in to Twitter, IG, and cannot express their grievances. Secondly, thank you for showcasing this history. All Chinese people express their highest respect to you,I also hope you can visit Nanjing and learn about the “Nanjing Massacre”. According to statistics, there are up to 300000 innocent victims with names, and many people from other places whose household registration is not in Nanjing cannot be counted. Therefore, the actual number is far more than 300000. Finally, I would like to welcome you to visit China, my hometown Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The Asian Games have just been held here, so the facilities are still very new, so it is very novel. Of course, China has a vast territory and abundant resources, Different places have different customs and traditions. I hope you have fun and have fun.🎉🎉🎉😊

  • Funny, many Western Vloggers have made articles on Harbin but NONE have mentioned the Unit 731 museum. Weirdly, the first I heard of this notorious Japanese atrocity is when this English guy was reading his Sunday newspaper supplement. There was a colour photo of a bloated corpse on a trolley… The Japanese, unlike the Germans, have never apologised for their war crimes. Shame on them! They only moan about the the two atom bombs dropped on them. The US, of course, used the Japanese bacteriological research.

  • My wife is from Luoyang, Henan. We have Harbin as a place to visit, but in the summertime. The people seem friendly, not fake. If you speak Mandarin, get ready to hear Dongbei. It sounds different, but it is so cool to listen to that dialect. The Orthodox cathedral of Saint Sophia looks wonderful. For me it’s sad it’s just a museum, but I hope to pray there one day anyway. ☦️

  • Your visit of 731 museum reminds me of Japanese invasion of Singapore. Although we didn’t have people suffered or died from any inhumane bio chemical weapon experiments, we had massacre of tens of thousands of ethnic Chinese carried out by the crazy Japanese soldiers at the Changi beach. As our population was so small, we probably had higher number of people killed in the massacre in terms of per capita than the Nanjing Massacre. The Singaporean ethnic Chinese were massacred because they donated huge amount of money to China to fight against Japanese aggression. The money were collected from within Singapore and other ethnic Chinese in south east asia. I believe the south east asian Chinese will again donate money to China if Japan fights a war with China again perhaps as a proxy war for US or jointly with US.

  • The difference between the Japanese way of dealing with this chapter of their history and the German one is one of hiding in shame and attempting to forget and one of true inner soul searching to confront the guilt head on which foretells a guaranteed future for further continuous worsening relationship between China and Japan.

  • 5:42 The city of harbin sits at the end of the China Eastern Railway which Russia buit in the 1900’s to connect Europe and far east by land. European workers and merchants rushed into harbin. Harbin became the biggest international hub like Shanghai today. You can find many European influence in this city. The sausage you had should be Lithuanian.

  • Majority of these Russians have been in China for generations all the way from the Qing Dynasty, particularly the orthodox christian one, so they’re considered ethnic minority in Chinese, just like there are ethnic Chinese in some Russian region, like the Sakha clan in Yakutia. They also fel victim to unit 731.

  • You are a travel blogger, and you should not easily broadcast these histories. You do not know the huge public opinion pressure you will face. The US and Japanese governments have been trying to cover up these truths, allowing Japan to play the role of a victim and portraying China as an aggressive “bad” country. I am not a conspiracy theory, but I am really worried about you. You may have to endure online violence for a while, and many people who have been brainwashed by the media all year long do not want the truth that China is the victim.

  • World War II, Germany, and Japan were all alliances. The 731 Museum, like European museums, tells humanity about the cruelty of war and reminds us of peace. Now Germany has acknowledged its mistake and apologized, and banned the Nazis, receiving respect. On the contrary, Japan does not admit its mistakes, and even the textbooks of students do not contain these contents (which were bombed by atomic bombs and were not mentioned), which is very frightening.
