  • This is the dumb part of CBP: they record your exits by sea or plane, but if you happen to travel by land, the exit record is ‘not’ recorded, and this could potentially raise some eyebrows once you return or even worse, get to affect your application. Keep your travel receipts, bus tickets, or any evidence of your ongoing trip, and ask for an entry stamp at your destination port of entry (by land). They will gladly stamp your passport if you are polite.

  • Hi, I am applying on the basis of married to USC and after coming to the US, i never travelled outside of the US, How do I answer this question “Have you taken a trip outside of the United States in the last 5 years?” If I answer NO, they are asking for 5 years of travel history and If I answer Yes, then then they ask what is your departure date, please reply

  • Hello John, I made a total of 4 trips outside of the US for the last 5 years. None of the trips are more than 6 months. But the total number of days combine for the trips is 371 days (due to COVID-19 all my return flights back to the US got canceled). Do you think it’s going to affect my N-400 interview? Thank you for much in advance.
