To turn on a wakeboard, follow these steps:
1. Lean with your toes for a toe-side edge, or lean with your heels for a heel-side edge.
2. Look where you are going and build speed by using the tension of the rope.
3. Turn smoothly by using your edges.
4. Start by rotating your head and shoulders in the direction you want to turn, letting your hips and board follow.
5. Do a small forward-facing jump by jumping out of the water like an ollie, only rotating your board 180 degrees.
6. Set up your wakeboard with your feet shoulder-width apart and slightly turned out for stability.
7. Stand straight and lean into the rope. Arcing your back can increase leverage and pull on the board.
8. Lock your elbows and bend your knees, then use your hips to turn your body and your back foot to lead and initiate the spin.
9. To land, pull your legs forward, bring the board under your body, and turn the nose back in the direction of travel.
