Grand Knip, a popular attraction in Curaçao, is located about a half hour to 45 minutes from the port. The beach offers two Kenepa beaches, Large and Small, which are free to the public. The water is beautiful and the beach is clean. There are minimal services available, but a small snack bar can be paid for.
To get to Grote Knip from the cruise port, you can either take a cab at the port or rent a car. Shore excursions can also be booked when arriving at the cruise terminal in Otrobanda. From the cruise port, you can take a bus to the beach, which takes about 45 minutes.
Cas Abao Beach is a 40-minute ride by taxi or rental car from the cruise ports. Cas Abao offers extensive beaches, including the manmade Mambo beach. If you prefer plain sandy beaches, you can go to Manmade Mambo beach. Taxis to any of these beaches (Puerto Mari, Seaquarium beach, or Blue Bay) are available.
For those visiting beautiful beaches like Porto Marie, Cas Abao, or Grote Knip, it is best to take a taxi to beaches within 15 km from the cruise port. Negotiate a price before getting into the taxi, as the cost may vary depending on the location. Taxis from the dock to Seaquarium beach and to Blue Bay are approximately 25 and 25 respectively.

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to show us this stuff. This beach looks amazing. It’s hard to believe that with in the matter of a couple weeks my son and I are going to be here. I’m beyond excited. I do however have a question. I’ve heard many times that upon returning to the cruise port you are required to show your ship pass and ID both. My son is only 14 yrs old. He’s not old enough for a state ID. Do you think this will be a issue for him? Neither one of us have passports. We were told that we didn’t need them that we can just use our birth certificates.
