This video demonstrates how to install the Krypt Flat Cargo Wakeboard Tower Bimini Top on a budget wakeboard boat. The bimini top is installed under the top section of the wakeboard tower, using four bimini rings on the towers bars. The Krypt wakeboard tower features a single bar header made of 2-12 diameter aerospace grade aluminum and is easy to install without drilling.
The first step in building a wake tower bimini is to design the framework as simple as possible, avoiding telescoping parts and unnecessary struts. Monster Tower offers three bimini top styles: Super Shadow Bimini, Collapsible Bimini, and Tube Top Bimini. The MTE wakeboard tower features a single bar header made of beefy 2-12 diameter aerospace grade aluminum.
To install the bimini top, measure inside the tower legs and leave some clearance, possibly 12-1 per leg. Riveted clevises on the back legs for the rear supports and cut the supports to a length that puts the bimini at the desired angle.
Add hinged top slides to each of the rear bimini bows, as they also make ones that slide on. A wakeboard tower with bimini is an essential combination that provides protection from the sun while using the best quality Sunbrella marine canvas. The goal is to launch the boat, open the top, and be ready for fun.
