Kane Ward, a nine-year-old hyperlite rider from Cullman, USA, made history at the 2021 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships by becoming the youngest competitor ever to land a double flip in contest. The 10-13 Year Old Boys Division has been a hot topic at the Nautique Wake Series this year, and two of the riders have been battling it out at this year’s World Championships.
Kanes Ward, a two-time national wakeboarding champion and a WWA World champ, became the world’s youngest wakeboard pro two years ago at the age of eight. He has been riding for over two years, and this achievement was made when Kane Ward, at just 10 years old, became the first wakeboarder to land a double flip behind the innovative G23.
In addition to landing a Crow Mobe 540, Ward also put down a double flip at 10. He placed first in the 9 Under Jr. Boys Division after scoring an 88.00 in the Final Round against the nations top wakeboarders in his division.
Kanes Ward has shown a lot of skill from an early age, starting riding at the age of three and possibly starting flipping on a wakeboard around 5 or 6 years old. His incredible feat and achievements have made him a rising star in wakeboarding and the wakeboarding world.
