The 162.5-meter long Eclipse, built in 2010, was the world’s longest private yacht until the launch of the 17.3-meter-long Azzam in April 2013. The yacht, estimated to cost €340 million, is one of 70 motor yachts longer than 100 meters. Its cruising speed is 4.09 kn above the average and its top speed is 1.8 kn above.
The Eclipse, completed at the end of 2010 at the Blohm Voss Hamburg shipyard, features interiors by Terence Disdale Design and is the world’s second largest superyacht. At her launch in 2010, the 164-meter Eclipses measured 162.5m in length, 22.00m in width, and 5.90m in the draft, offering a vast area for luxurious leisure activities. The yacht has a gross tonnage of 13000 tonnes and was styled after military vessels.
