How Do I Make Frigate Stellaris?

In Stellaris, players can build Frigates, a more versatile ship than their Corvette counterpart, by researching and building the Space Torpedoes component. These ships are slightly more expensive than Corvettes and can be built at any Station or Orbital Ring Shipyard. To build a Frigate, players must find and research the Space Torpedoes technology, which is unlocked through the game’s semi-random process.

Frigates are like bombers, good against ships larger than themselves, with low evasion and high damage. Artillery battleships can defeat Cruisers that bully smaller ships at range, while a Frigate screen can counter Torpedo-cruisers or autocanon-Battleships. Corvettes can serve as a distraction to hold enemy forces at Kinetic Artillery range and reinforce lost vettes quickly.

To make the most of Frigates, players should equip them with the right weapons, defenses, and auxiliary components, with the primary weapon being Kinetic. Once players have finished Space Torpedoes, they will unlock the Component of the same name and the Frigate ship type to carry it. Frigates are only slightly more expensive than Corvettes and can be built at any Station or Orbital Ring Shipyard.

Frigates are used by pirates, Marauders, and associated factions, such as Raiders, Pirate Frigates, Pirate Cruisers, and Galleons. To get the most out of Frigates, players must research the Space Torpedoes technology, which is unlocked through the game’s semi-random process. To access Space Torpedoes, players need to unlock the Tech 2 missiles (Fusion Missiles) first.
