The Hilton Miami Downtown offers three ways to get to the Port of Miami Cruise Terminal: by bus, taxi, or foot. The Hyatt Regency Miami Downtown does not provide a port shuttle service, but the Concierge at the reception can help reserve a private taxi. Taxis are available 24 hours a day, and the YVE Hotel Miami offers shuttle service to cruise ships for a nominal fee of around $8 per person. The Park, Stay, Go offer provides parking and shuttle service to and from select airports and cruise ports at participating hotels. The best way to get without a car is to line 20 bus, which takes 19 minutes and costs 2-3 dollars. The Hilton Downtown Miami hotel offers a Park Go service, allowing guests to leave their car at the hotel during their cruise. Hampton Blue Lagoon offers a free shuttle from MIA to their hotel, and Hilton Miami Downtown typically offers shuttle services to the cruise port. The Hilton Garden Inn Brickell South Miami is a personal recommendation for its proximity and views of the cruise port.

We are cruising October 12th 2024. We usually stay at the Hilton Blue Lagoon Miami Airport. There is a Shuttle that cost $$ but it leaves the Hotel and will Bring you to the port and the Airport after the cruise. My room is 186.00 a night plus deposit. I had better time going out of Orlando. With Orlando you can use the company Go-port and they will take care of you.
Only found your website just now, thanks for your articles about the different ports. My Mum and I will be going on our first ever cruise later on in the year. We’re sailing out of Miami, and will be flying in from London. We’re going to arrive 2 days before the cruise. We’ve visited Miami in 2007, weeks stayed in Bal Harbour back then. We’re both really looking forward to our cruise though! Thank you for the very good info. 😊
Miami is my favorite cruise port. I always stay the night before at the Hilton Miami Airport Hotel. For my next cruise, I booked the EB Hotel Miami Airport instead. The pictures of their rooms looks amazing! My last cruise was a B2B on the Carnival Celebration. I’m booked for another B2B on the Celebration this winter. Thanks for the tip on booking each flight separately, I will try that.
If you can do it, snagging a credit card that gives flight reward points is a HUGE money saver. A lot of them offer 30-50,000 bonus points if you spend X amount of dollars on the card over the first 90 days or so. If you filter your monthly bills through the card and then pay it off right away for the points…you rack up plenty of points real quick. We just snagged two tickets from Ohio to Miami for a grand total of $22! Not too shabby!
Good Morning Sharon, good Morning Jamie, i start my Carnival Celebration Cruise from Miami next Sunday. I will be in Miami at Saturday afternoon. I have take the EB Hotel Miami Airport. I was last Year in this Hotel. It is wounderful. I had a room with a view on the Runway. I booked for this Cruise the Stay and Cruise Package. It is a good Deal. Shuttle from Airport to the Hotel, Breakfast and the Shuttle to the Port.
Thank you for the information. I had a Holiday Inn room booked before seeing this, so it’s great to know it was a good choice. The flight idea is great info. We still need to book ours. My understanding best time for prices is approximately 44 days prior to expected departure..thoughts @sharonatsea. Thank you again.
We usually rent a car (one-way) but really like the freedom to travel around outside the downtown area. With this mobility we usually stay at the Rodeway Inn in Coral Gables / South Miami just past University of Miami. There is also a train Station right there if one wanted to travel this way as well, lots of restaurants, shopping and pharmacies / grocery stores. Being away from the downtown drops the price. When flying into FLL and cruising from Port Miami we generally will get a spot in Hollywood and also save some money.
Question. Sharon since you’re the Queen of research I thought you might know. I use to live in Miami and know it and love it since Coral Gables High. Been on Three cruises out of Port of Miami, so easy. Booked on Wonder in December. Best friends live in Miami so staying there. The one thing that’s changed are the trains. Can you take a train from Miami to Port Canaveral the morning of the cruise or would be cheaper to drive and park for $150. Thank you for any knowledge and I love your articles.
