In the classic Bugs Bunny episode, Elmer J. Fudd is a fictional character who is the archenemy of Bugs Bunny alongside Yosemite Sam. He is a millionaire who owns a mansion and a yacht, and is often seen puffing Rabbit, Duck when defeated or embarrassed. Fudd has one of the most disputed origins in the Warner Snobby Hobby. Hare Brush establishes that Elmer Fudd is a millionaire who owns a mansion and a yacht. He also enjoys hunting, as he is commonly seen trying to shoot Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
Elmer has been committed to an insane asylum because he believes he is a rabbit. However, it is also revealed that he is a millionaire with a mansion and a yacht. Bugs Bunny enters Fudd’s room and is bribed with carrots before leaving the way the real rabbit entered. Elmer is declared cured, and Bugs is released from the sanitarium dressed as Elmer.
In Hare Brush, Bugs is arrested for Elmer’s non-payment of 300,000 in back taxes. He tries in vain to explain his identity to Mary, who goes silent and never returns. The quote “I am Elmer J. Fudd. Millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht” is a memorable quote from the movie.
