Carnival cruise ships offer self-service launderettes on stateroom decks, with 2 or 3 washers, 2 or 3 dryers, and 1 iron and ironing board in each launderette. However, irons are only available in the cabins of newer Carnival cruise ships, except Carnival Firenze, Carnival Luminosa, and Carnival Venezia. For guests’ safety, irons are not allowed in staterooms. However, each ship has a laundry service onboard, and laundry bags are available in staterooms.
The best place to iron on a cruise ship is in your stateroom, as you will have access to a power outlet and a flat surface. If you do not have a hair dryer, a 1250-watt hair dryer is provided in all staterooms and suites (either in the bathroom or on the desk vanity) on all ships. Personal grooming devices such as hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, and shavers are allowed on board when used with proper caution.
Some cruise ships have laundry rooms with irons that are publicly accessible, but they are not allowed in cabins. Irons are a safety hazard on the ships, and there is also pressing service for guests. Each cabin has a hair dryer for the guests, and anything that generates a lot of heat, like an iron or curling iron, is a fire hazard.
