If you need to cancel your upcoming cruise, there are no penalties unless you have booked a specific promotion with a non-refundable deposit or fare. Early Saver rates provide a non-refundable deposit at any time after the booking is made, and all cancellations that occur prior to the final payment due date will receive a non-refundable and non-transferable future cruise credit in US dollars.
Cruise Vacation Protection is fully refundable if you cancel outside Carnival’s published penalty period. Final payment dates coincide with the end of the full refund period, which is 75 days before sailing for cruises two to five days. Name changes on the Carnival Cruise website are defined as the cancellation of one guest and adding a new guest to a booking. An original guest must remain on the booking.
Cruise lines allow cancellations without penalty, sometimes up to 24–48 hours before departure. Most will give either future travel or a 100% penalty phase for cancellations prior to the final payment due date. For cruisers canceling prior to final payment, there is no penalty unless you booked a specific promotion with a non-refundable deposit or fare.

Can you change a cruise once booked?
- You can only transfer your booking once
- The majority of cruise lines will not allow a date change within 14 days of departure
- Some cruise lines will not allow guests to transfer to another sailing date within 90 days of departure
- Your booking will need to be outside of your current balance due date
- The new booking must be of equal or greater value
- The new sailing must be within one year of the original sailing date
- Any promotions or discounts on your current booking may not be applicable to your new sailing

What happens if you don’t show up for a Carnival cruise?
- From the final payment date to 56 days prior to sailing, the penalty is the standard deposit amount.
- From 55 days prior to sailing to 30 days prior to sailing, the penalty is 50% of the Total Fare or the standarddeposit amount, whichever is greater.
- From 29 to15 days prior to sailing, the penalty is 75% of the Total Fare or the standard deposit amount, whichever is greater.

- No refunds will be made if you do not show up for your cruise or if you interrupt or cancel your vacation once it has begun.
The Total Fare is defined as Cruise Charges, Transfer Services, Pre/Post Cruise Vacation Packages and Fly2Fun Air(please note thatFly2Fun Restricted Air which is non-refundable at time of booking). Government Taxes and Fees, as shown on your cruise invoice, as well as any prepaid Service Gratuity, will not be subject to a cancellation penalty and will be refunded in case of cancellation.
