A Class Model Yacht Plans?

Model Boat Builders offers a wide range of A Class Yacht Plans, including the UFO Mk2, which is a 2020 development of the successful UFO with a heavier displacement and larger sail plan. The formula for A Class boats was devised in 1922 by the editor of the Yachting Monthly as a testing ground for later A Class models.

The range includes racing class yachts by prominent designers of the day, as well as cruising and scale yachts. The Orca II – A Class Yacht Model Boat Plan MAR2335 and Vapour Trail – A Class Yacht Model Boat Plan MAR2687 are available in large format drawings, including full size hull sections, half size lines, 14 scale sail plans, and building instructions.

The Radio A Class yacht, designed by Adrian Brewer, is designed to be built from ply panels to form a multichine hull, moderate 15kg, and with displacement for easy handling. B H Priest and J A Lewis published Model Racing Yachts in the 1950s, and the boat is now finished and includes sailing.

The range includes a variety of model yacht plans, including the A Class racing yacht, the Water Baby A – Plan, and the Sidewinder MK2 A Class Australian style lightweight clean hull shape. The boat has been built from plans by numerous designers since 1968, with hundreds of boats built from their plans from both home and production.
