The Best 5 GOLD COAST AUSTRALIA
Beautiful one day, Perfect the next….. The Gold Coast, Australia is where we call home and there is a never ending list of beautiful places to go and wonderful places to eat and drink.
1. The never ending Gold Coast BEACHES
The squeaky white sands of the Gold Coast and the sparkling blue water makes the beach an ideal place to relax and start your family holiday. We have a few favourite spots to take the kids. Burleigh Beach is top of the list. The village like atmosphere adds to the appeal of Burleigh. The beach is protected by the rocks and there are great coffee places close by to the waves. Another places we love are Currumbin Beach as the kids can swim in the shallows where the beach heads to the creek.

2. EATING and DRINKING in quirky and unique places
The Gold Coast has some surprisingly wonderful eateries that are popping up everywhere. The coffee is good and there is a real focus on fresh, healthy and yummy food. Some of our favourites are Easy Street Diner and Betty’s Burgers for their American style burgers, Hellenika for their amazing Greek food and top of the list for meal where celebrity can be spotted but still a relaxed beachy place is The Fish House. Black Coffee Lyrics is a hidden gem and Kiyomi at Jupiter’s Casino is the best Japanese place we have ever eaten. Crave Gold Coast is an excellent source of must go places.

Easy Street Diner – a family fav. Who doesn’t love Chicken and Waffles
3. The MOUNTAINS
In under an hour from the beach you can drive to the top of Mount Tambourine. Here you will find cooler temperatures, wineries and wonderful walking tracks. The views from the top are wonderful and you truly feel on top of the world.

4. THEME PARKS and SPORTING events
So many theme parks on the Gold Coast make this such a fun family location. Our favourite is Movie World, SeaWorld and Wet & Wild. There are a variety of packages from daily, weekly or yearly. Choose the right ticket for your family and you can visit all these theme parks with the one ticket package. Dream World is another iconic theme park on the Gold Coast.
Sporting events also are a fantastic family event to attend while visiting. Our kids love watching the Gold Coast Titans and the Gold Coast Suns. With the Commonwealth Games happening here in 2018 we are in the midst of sporting fever.

5. WALKING, HIKING and the GREAT OUTDOORS
The wonderful weather on the Gold Coast makes it the place to be outdoors. One of our favourite walks is the Burleigh Headland. The walk will take you to little beaches to stop at along the way. Hiking the National Parks at Mt Tamborine and The Natural Bridge are all very achievable with children. Everywhere you head on the Gold Coast people are outdoors, bike riding and another pastime is Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Hire a SUP down along the creeks at Currumbin and give it a go.

Like I needed any more reasons to want to go to Australia! haha It looks amazing and I am intrigued by the fact that there are so many different landscapes and areas, forests, beaches, etc. Looks like you have it all! Can’t wait til I am able to get there 😀
Mountains, beaches, waterfalls, and ice cream — I can’t imagine a better place!
A great summary of exactly why we need to head to the Gold Coast soon. Your kids look like they are really enjoying the day at the base of the waterfall. This is something my boys would love to do as well.
The waterfall was so much fun
I have family on the Gold Coast but haven’t yet visited – your lovely photos have really spurred me on to book that flight!

Its Lovely out there 🙂 Nice Pictures…
Looks like such a great place to raise the kids! I know my kids wouldn’t say no to the beaches, the theme parks and especially swimming at the waterfall. We took our kids to Australia a few years ago, but haven’t been on the Gold Cost yet. If we ever go back, it will definitely be on the list!
Where did you visit in Oz last time?
Some super great ideas. Will have to try the mountains next time we go
