Staying at The Pullman Hotel Brisbane Airport

Is it possible that a hotel is too nice? This was the case while staying at The Pullman Brisbane Airport. As it was one of the best places we have stayed and it was hard to leave to catch our afternoon flight. The Pullman Hotel is a 5 minute stroll to the Brisbane Domestic Airport and a quick, easy bus trip to the International Terminal

The Rooms

It is not often that we walk into a hotel room and say wow, wow, wow! The plush carpets underfoot were just the beginning to the luxury we felt in our room for the night. We had a view to the hotel pool below from the floor to ceiling windows.

The beds were large and comfortable and we even had a pillow menu to help pick our pillow for the most relaxing sleep before our flight.

The bathroom had a bath that was so, so long and positioned so that when the privacy shutters are pulled back that you can watch TV from the bath. The toilet and shower were behind doors in the bathroom. This great layout allowed more than one to use the bathroom at a time.

We had a plush robes to wear after our bath and slippers. The mini bar was stocked well. What we loved was the complimentary Nespresso Pods for the coffee machine and the hot chocolate too.

The Food

We decided to have room service delivered to the room so we could relax and watch a movie during our dinner. The food was very reasonable priced and there is even a kids menu. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Polly can recommend the kids’ cheeseburger, which was huge and would easily satisfy and adult appetite. I can vouch for the steak club sandwich – delicious!

We had buffet breakfast at the hotel which was a marvellous selection of hot and cold food. Eggs are cooked on request, the poached eggs were done to perfection. We sampled many of the yumminess on offer. The coffee was a self serve Nespresso machine was a great feature and easy to use.

The Pool

We spent a few hours relaxing by the pool which is on the ground level, next to the restaurant. There was plenty of sun lounges available and the towels for the pool are ready for guest use. Sitting reading by the pool while the kids had a swim was a lovely way to spend a few hours.

Getting There

We caught the train to the domestic airport in Brisbane. The Pullman Hotel is then a 5 minute stroll from the train station to the hotel. There are no stairs to deal with so it is easy to walk with suitcases. There is a bus available to guests to the International Airport that the concierge can organise.
